AV says Dom Moore (strained oblique) out week-10 days. Says Callahan (thumb) probably week to 10 days from returning.

Stop blocking shots. Its simple. Lundqvist gets paid to stop the puck. Let him stop it.
What's the latest on Callahan?

if this was a serious comment its one of the dumbest things I've read on this board
and that is a momumental accomplishment my friend
Strang gets half of her info and ideas about the Rangers from this board. She's a medicore reporter. Too busy trying to climb her way up the ESPN ladder.

Way to get on the most valuable member on this Rangers board. Rangerboy is right. Callahan has good intentions, but you can't be blocking shots when it is not necessary.
Really? You have no issue with Callahan missing a month of the season with a broken thumb because he tried to stop the shot with his hand? Talk about stupid. Go look in the mirror my friend.
Callahan didn't learn his lesson from the end of the 2010-11 season when he broke a bone in his foot blocking a shot from Chara. He missed the last two games of the season and the Caps series. The Rangers needed the Canes to lose their last game of the season to Tampa Bay for the Rangers to make the playoffs. They lost a brutal game to Atlanta at home because Callahan had suffered a broken bone blocking a shot in the Boston game.
He is too important of a player to this team for him to miss significant time throwing his body in front of slap shots from the point.

Callahan is going to have to change his style of game eventually. You can't have a long career playing like that. Just look at Chris Drury.
