So miller was playing rw in CT right? Some fans are saying he will play C in NY on this call up

Sad to see Mashinter go? Or happy to give Beach a look?
Would like to see Miller at C with the Rangers but would prefer he stays in HFD for an extended run. Not too excited about Beach, Mash was an effective AHLer, liked that he was another Heavy that could take all of the fighting burden off McIlrath. We'll see what happens.

Kreider up, Miller up, Talbot up, Fast hurt. No offensive defenseman to speak of. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

And we just traded their catalyst, Brandon Mashinter. :sarcasm:

But still there's no good reason for them to be getting shutout with such consistency.

Mashinter obviously GOAT

The reason is that most of the forwards they dressed tonight are crap offensively. I just finished watching the game. Most of the team looked incoherent and generated no offense (literally, they had one of two decent chances, but that was it). The PP was an abortion, looked like the 08-09 Rangers powerplay. Kristo was stuck playing with two stiffs in Jean and Powe.

My review of the game:
On the positive side (what very few positive aspects there were to this game), Lindberg had a solid game up front (although he had a tough night in the dot), Allen was decent, and McIlrath was their best player. He made a mistake or two, including a very bad turnover in the neutral zone late in the third (although, he had just made a nice play to stop a 1-on-1 rush and he had absolutely no puck support at all), but his gap control was very solid all game long, and he was using his size and reach very effectively. He won almost every battle in the corner in his own zone. Felt like he was out there every other shift. He likes to step up at the blueline, it burned him once, but otherwise he was making good reads. Missiaen’s game was also solid most of the night, although both of the goals he let in were kind of soft – can’t blame him for the loss, though, he only gave up two. He made some nice saves to keep the Pack in it when it was 1-0 until Hartford gave up that PP goal. His positioning was pretty decent, he was reading plays well all night, and he forced a lot of wide shots with his size and positional play. However, Missiaen absolutely must work on his lateral movement if he plans on even sniffing the NHL. Otherwise, a relatively solid performance for him.

Adirondack didn't even play well tonight, Hartford basically beat themselves. Losing Miller and Mashinter is pretty big, and not having Fast doesn't help. Slats needs to go out and get them some help up front for the Pack, desperately. The Newbury trade is looking worse and worse for this team.

The Hartford Wolfpack continued to pile up the losses on Saturday night after a disappointing 3-2 loss to the division leading Springfield Falcons. With this loss, the Pack are now the lone team at the bottom of their division, and are sitting at 14th in the Eastern conference. They have lost 10 of their last 13 games, and have been shutout in five of their previous ten games.

Giannone has a podcast. He had Schoenfeld on the podcast this week. Is Jimmy in the loop? It was recorded Thursday morning at the morning skate in Buffalo. He mentioned Mashinter as one of the guys to watch. He was traded the next day. Sather and Gorton must not include him in trade talks. He discussed McIlrath,Miller and Kristo. He didn't add anything to the discussion.

Freeeeefaaaaalling... Man, i miss the good old WPack winning days. Die hard NYR fan, but always a super soft spot for the WP ... Heck, in 2000 i travelled to HFD to see 5 or 6 pack games (and touring New England), today I cant even bear to complete watching a full game via AHLLive :(

Same here. Their hands are unwatchable.

road warriors new nyr themed 3rds.

I was hoping more for something that looked like it was straight out of Mad Max 2. Some spiked leather spaulders, a band at the bottom that looks like an ammo belt full of 5.54 rounds. :sarcasm:
I was hoping for something along the lines of the Legion of Doom in the WWF

Warriors.... Come out and play-ay!

They won today, snapping a 5 game schneid. St. Croix with 2 helpers.

how did Beach look??

Stone hands. He whiffed on so many pucks I didn't think it was possible.

Kristo is on the line with Lindberg now and they looked pretty good. Kristo tries a ton of cross ice passes that he just can't make at that level. But he's a good skater and can hold his own. Had a couple very nice steals.

Lindberg is doing ok. Doesn't stand out the way Miller did, but he is capable all around.

Allen played another solid game. That's really the only way to describe him. Nothing special but does everything well. Can skate, always in position, makes good outlet passes. Wish he would shoot from the point a little more. But maybe that develops. He was playing with Syvret a lot this game. Syvret is not a good player.

And mcilrath I've watched a lot this season. He stands out every game. Positioning and skating have improved tremendously. He will take himself out of position occasionally to make a big hit. But he can reel that in in some games. So maybe he's just trying to force something in others. His outlet passes and his board play has been phenomenal.

IMO, nobody else on the pack that is playing has any shot to be any good at the next level.

Gordie Clark did a radio show. This was recorded 2-3 weeks ago. It was posted on a site two days ago. He talks about watching the Patriots and Broncos game after having returned from a scouting trip before doing the interview. That was 2-3 weeks ago.

He said McIlrath needs to improve his ability to move the puck. He is getting better. That's the only thing holding him back. He has improved in the other areas with Beukeboom's help.

Syvret is not a good player.

He's not bad at the AHL level, just not good. Trading Newbury for Syvret at the AHL leve is like trading Nash for Stralman at the NHL level. Awful trade. This team was offensively lost every time Noob would miss a game, and now they look offensively inept the whole season.
