I personally don't overly care about the ranking or it being a mock. Who knows how it'll go. Just found it useful for player info.

I like mocks and rankings but I don't put a ton of weight into "this WILL be the order." It's more about the player info and rough team targets that I like. For instance, who might be 15-25 for the Spitfires (20th)? What kinds of players are around there?

Wow, couldnt be so far from the truth. I only think he got the 1st overall and 4th pick right. JMO
This was done over the past like 10 days or so. So a lot of the picks are without the “leaks”.

It is more a showcase for what talent could be available at those slots and some information on the players itself.

OHL Fan , please tell us "the truth". Guess we have to rely on your opinion as opposed to a concoction of professional scouting reports that were put together to make up a " mock draft" by a person in charge of a scouting organization. We await your analysis as you claim that Otten only hit on a couple of picks.;)

Is it the opinion of the scouting group, involved in the mock draft, as a whole that William Moore will be selected in the top half of the first round or is it only the opinion/prognostication by the individual scout who wrote up Oshawa’s first round pick that he’ll be selected in the top half of the draft?

Just wondering.

If you read what Brock wrote, there is a bit of a disclaimer at the beginning saying they started compiling the mock 3 weeks ago before players and their families started making noises about preferences. If anybody has a mock they wish to share feel free.

How does Ivankovic compare to Ben Gaudreau at the same age?
I haven't seen the kid play once I'm just really curious to see how he does because he's only 5'10 according to the OHL video on him.

That's incredibly small for today's goalies. Obviously still could be in for a growth spurt, but taking a G RD1 is always scary let alone one that small.

elite prospects has him a 6'0, which still isn't all that big. Gaudreau seems to have been good, but not sure he lived up to the "best OHL goalie prospect in a decade" hype. To take this guy top 10, he'd have to be at least on that level to be worth a gamble.

Interested to see what the Petes do. I assume it will be a forward and Otten's mock draft had the Petes getting C Luca Romano at 13. Depending on what happens with picks before there could be some interesting risers and fallers as 13 is in a unique spot. Thoughts on players/ targets around this pick?

How often do these leaks end up being wrong? By all accounts it seems like a given the Fronts will be getting Hopkins - just curious if there's a chance for Tarantino-esque twists.

I have a feeling this draft is going to be full of twists. Every year there are some surprises but feels a bit different this year and feels like there are so many different possibilities. Friday can't come soon enough!

Here's another.....https://www.thestar.com/sports/hockey/2023/04/19/ohl-mock-draft-matthew-schaefer-expected-to-go-first-overall-with-an-assist-from-big-brother.html?rf

I've seen him play quite a bit and he head and shoulders the #1 in the age group. Considering how far imo #2 and beyond are, my bet is he goes very early. Sees the puck very well and has some of best reflexes i've seen

Everyone was free to make their own selections, there was no group decision on who went where.
