Well he got the hat-trick, but Clutterbuck, Clune and most specifically, Bourdon are ahead of him for Star of the game, imo.

6-3 final. A pretty dominating game by Canada. If not for the ref, they would have hit double digits. This team is coming together.

yah, why was the russian goalie player of the game?

Well, I guess Zubov was the obvious choice (though diving and not passing do not a star make), but the goalie made some key saves in the first (that redirect by Latendresse comes to mind - wicked save) and none of his goals were bad except for the first, but that was a (severely) broken play and not much he could do there. I guess it was lack of a better option. :dunno:

I know for a fact that one of Hockey Canada's first questions to Price when they asked him to come is "are you too tired". That kid has played non-stop since last August in the U-18 tournament. He hasn't just dressed for games, he's played them. He was very close to playing the most minutes in the Dub and did it with the travel schedule out here. I didn't see the game this morning, just glad we got the win.

Anyone know the rules regarding the placement in the group. Because if Sweden wins now against Denmark, they will get the same amount of points as Russia and Canada... but do they count goals or something else?

1-0 Czechs after one period. Looks like Johnson was a little over-active to someone's head as he was tossed at the 8 minute mark for "Checking to the head."

I think.

tsn said something along the lines of goal difference between the tied teams...so if sweden won they'd be 2nd, it'll go Canada (+2) sweden (Even) and russia (-2)

so it would be 1 Canada
2 Sweden
3 Russia

this is all according to Tsn.

All he does is rag on the refs, both ways.

He gives the other team credit when they do something. What was he supposed to say during the Denmark game? Its hard to find something good to say about a team losing 15-1.

I'm not talking about the Denmark game. I got totally fed up with the guy already in December.

Frolik scores. First time I've heard him this period.

Anyone watching this game? Does the USA deserve all these penalties or is it home country fever?

knowing the refs in this tourney, i'd say a good chunk of those penalties are undeserved.

Just finished watching the Canada Russia game. I taped it, 6:00 is too early to get up. I was really impressed with Canada. The ref was so brutal. Hopefully O'Marra will come back. Assuming TSN is right, that Canada goes onto the semi-final who would Canada play next?
