Sending a message is fine. It's both. Bring up someone else from Hartford. Again reading what I read about McLeod on here last year he shouldn't be 100 miles near an NHL rink no matter what the circumstance.

He's truly worse than Glass.

At least Glass attempts to go out there and play hockey.

I don't fault Quinn here for now. He did state his policy of sitting players who are not playing well for a 13F that has shown enough to be given minutes. All the good players that are in Hartford that could be called up deserve to get steady top 6 minutes in Hartford. I don't think it'll help those players to be sitting as the 13F. I wish Jeff hadn't signed McLeod in the off season and I was expecting a better disposable vet like Holland to be the 13F but it is what it is. McLeod is likely gone once Beleskey is healthy as the better 13F and I doubt McLeod will get undeserved minutes since Vlad will be put back almost immediately unless McLord plays like McJesus.

Yes I don`t understand it @Lays , last season it was JT who was targeted - he was lazy or whatever in the locker room so the management decided to move him in that Ryan Mc. trade to Tampa.
Hopefully we move Vladdy before other teams start to take note
He was so much better in Tampa, not even because of Kucherov and Stamkos either. Before he played with them he was a reliable 3rd liner who was good defensively, I feel like since playing with them he tried to add more skill to his game which ruined it. Watching him now vs when I saw him in Tampa pre-Kuch/Stamkos I see different players. I used to really like Namestnikov but now he does more bad than good and I haven’t seen the defensive play that he once had

Yes I agree @Lays - they used a different system in Tampa and a coach who see things differently concerning how to play hockey, and they have more talent over there at the moment, but it`s an unfortunate situation for both the player and the management in NY.

Sorry if I'm missing something but Holland is on the team in Hartford and scored last night. Couldn't he fill in on 4th line???

I would rather call up one of a half dozen guys, but I'm fine with McLeod for a game or two until Beleskey is healthy; then I will return to being upset about him being dressed.

I legitimately would prefer Glass to McLeod. McLeod is a little better at hockey, but at least Glass actually played the "team guy" on the ice (the one reason behind dressing either of them).

As for this coming game; Names needs to be scratched. It is way too early in Quinn's tenure for us to be discussing whether he has lost the room or not. Punish the dissident, hope that he learns from it, and move on.

What im proud of is the telekinesis of many of our posters has greatly increased in accuracy and precision.

It took many of our psychics several seasons to tune into AV’s inner monilogue from subtle non verbal communication such as frequency of gum chewing and half second eye brow raises during camera pans

Yet this season, the entire neural network and all the emergent cognitive functions of Quinn have been fully mapped after 1 regular season game.

Mission Accomplished!

I really don't think any coach on Earth would bench a player with Staal's history after having a bad opening season game. Literally, none. It's illogical. If he under-performs for 10 games, then yea, sure. But after a single one and it being the first game of the season, please.
So you’re saying to 1) avoid jumping to conclusions and 2) let things play out a bit. Am I understanding you? It sounds crazy. I must say...

I just went back to watch it. Looked pretty minor. When Quinn tapped him on the shoulder, he shrugged one arm and said something without looking at Quinn. Quinn definitely didn’t stare back at him like some reported.
If anything I’d hope it’s the player appreciating he hasn’t done anything and showing frustration with himself.
I think he gets a mulligan for last year but he needs to show more this year. Still plenty of time.

Gonna need a Chytil or Howden hat trick.

Rookie Centers. Buffalo. First weekend of the season. Saturday night. #21.
Yes, definitely quite the coincidence. Howden changed his number from #43 to #21. One can only hope he can become another Stepan, but with a little more speed and a little bit better scoring abilities. Probably will never equal what Steps has done in PO's, but one can only hope.

As for tonight like i said earlier, I think he gets his 1st goal, seems fitting enough.

Giving Quinn one more game before deciding whether or not he should be fired. It's not looking good for him.

One more!

You kids are so lenient these days.

whaaaa T_T where’s my trophy

Makes me sick

Give Quinn 2 games, and then all the sudden he’s the coach for the whole month if not more!

Why isn't DeAngelo playing? I heard he had a good preseason.

Picked him up this week in a pinch for fantasy and I see he's not playing each of the first two games?

It`s a good question, but based on experience and watching hockey for two decades, and some coaches prefer using veteran players like Quinn.
