Would it make more sense to send Lettieri down in favor of Beleskey?

Lettieri has been pretty invisible this entire season. I honestly forget he's playing most nights. It looks like he's taken a step back from the potential he was showing last year.

I also think something might be lingering with Fast. He hasn't been very good at all this season.
I think he didn’t really show much last year either. He was good in exhibition games and seems to have some good skating and shooting skills. But he hasn’t put it together in the regular season. Not a lost cause though.

If the current trajectory holds true I'd expect Lettieri will be dealt by the end of the year in a change-of-scenery move for a low level prospect.

Skjei benching incoming? He really needs to dumb things down I think. He doesn't think the game quick enough but feels he needs to be making plays every time he's out there so he ends up resorting to his wheels to try to create offense, then the puck gets turnover and ADA is the only one back or a forward is playing out of position. He's needs to let ADA make the zone exit or learn to pass.

Lost in the Barclays Center ... again. For me Chytil's goal and Howden's assist are perfect... two points for Kreider and Pionk too. But our d-zone....

Didn’t watch the game unfortunately but I feel like that’s what we want to see...high scoring juiced stats for better trade value and confidence in our youth (not that the score sheet/performance reflects that tonight) but you get my point.

I think you are right.

Playing D in this league right now is a bit Mission Impossible. From one perspective you don't want him to Marc Staal things and just become someone that don't do anything, but he got to let the plays come to him instead of forcing things.

Positives: this team continues to be fun to watch and an exciting game. You can win a lot of games being boring AF. Im having more fun watching this and really riding the plot twists and highs and lows.
There will be a ton of game tape to review on how NOT to cover your man in front. Teachable moments...

Skjei is all messed up. That boy is about as sharp as a bag full of hammers lately. Is there a Benoit Alaire of defensemen? We need that guy. What's Larry Robinson doing these days?

Brady is missing Ryan McDonagh a lot right about now.

I'm missing Ryan McDonagh a lot right now.

Just imagining in my head how good McDonagh would look in Quinn's system. Or anybody's system except AV's.

Ask a Bolts fan how Mac has played for them. He is back to being MacTruck. Teaching Hedman how to defend.

"Whoop-de-do!"

One day we'll beat the Islanders in their barn again. We ended a very long drought back in 1994 when we finally beat them in the Coliseum and we all know what happened that year. Maybe by the time we win again at Barclays or wherever the same fate will be bestowed upon us.

Missed the Chytil and Kreider goals because i fell asleep

Chytil is finally starting to score, he’s about to go streaking. He’s also playing with even more confidence now. Starting to see that upside more consistently.

New York Rangers @ New York Islanders, 2018-11-15

Hank saved 4 out of 8 HDCA, Geo 1 out of 3.

League average HDSv% over the past three full seasons (2015-18) was 81.72% and league average this season is currently 81.52% - both figures higher than what I expected for some reason.

Save percentages on deflections from high danger areas are way lower than that if I’m remembering Valiquette intermission reports correctly.

Get Zucc off that top line would be a stsrt. Namestnikov was the much better fit with Chytil and Zibanejad

Skjei May get the night off but wouldn’t surprise me if ADA gets sat. Not his best game and Quinn has a short leash with him.

Hank was terrible. Even the partial breakaway short side make a save.

Shouldn’t lose a road game when you score 5 goals.

Hank looked his age last night but this game was bound to be high scoring, I can’t get on him too much, he’s been nails for most of the year

And he seems to be comfortable on the wing.

He’s been phenomenal No question

But he was in fact terrible last night. No reason anyone should get defensive about it. It’s one game (and I don’t mean u here I’m talking in generals)
