Jessie Pegula used "fan" during the Atlanta game (I believe) to refer to a certain segment of Sabres fans.

I suspect she was referring to those rooting for Buffalo to lose - but it could just have been directed towards booing fans

WTF is going on. I'm sitting on the toilet, taking a giant Sabres, and I'm not watching. Apparently the Sabres are gooning it up??

Every team that misses the playoffs gets a lottery pick.

Not true. Go read up on the new draft. Teams can only lose one spot. If we finish as the worst team in the league the worst we pick is number 2 which is still huge in this draft as top 3 players are nearly equal in skill.

It looks to me like martin extended his arms as he went into miller. Didn't look like he was trying to avoid ***, frankly.

Worst game from poms I've seen in a while.
When he is bad, he's really really bad. And when he's bad he's bad for 5-10 games in a row.

I'm a pretty big fan of the guy but I wouldn't be sad to see him move on like most of the team. I realize that not every captain in the league will go out there and do whatever it takes to get his team going but it would be nice to see once in a while. I feel that right now he sort of epitomizes what is wrong with this team.

Every non-playoff team gets a chance at the first pick, and no one can drop more than one spot. Really, the only "lottery" pick (as in decided by lottery) is the first one. Draft order just shifts down 1 for all the other teams that the team that won the lottery was originally drafting behind.

"Lottery pick" means you're put in the lottery to win the first overall pick.

Tha means that even the team that finishes with the 17th best record in the league and misses the playoffs by a point has a lottery pick.
