Why have Cutter in the NHL if you're going to place him on the 4th line with an enforcer?

Plenty of players start on the 4th line when they start. Getzlaf and Perry famously came up that way with the Ducks. The issue I have is that he's not on the 4th line with players that will help him succeed. With the Getzlaf and Perry, they at minimum had each other on that line. Gauthier is not put in a position to succeed because of his linemates more than line number or usage time. Questionable choice regardless though

I tend to agree Cutter may not be ready for top line mins. But at least put him on the 3rd line with some other skilled guys. What Cronin is doing would be a fireable offense for most other teams. Killing this kid’s development, and the best part, his numbers have been solid just has been unlucky as hell.

If Vaak isn't healthy before the road trip, then we'll be picking up one of the kids in San Diego. Solberg is in the SHL. Hinds might be the next d-man called up if Vaak or Fowler aren't available.

We have no fringe NHL signed D in San Diego. Could be one of the reasons why San Diego is still a bottom feeder team. If Helleson was still in the AHL, then we would have five kids on the blueline - if they weren't in some rotation.

Hagg is the last one we signed and he ended up bitching about how the franchise treated him. It’s hard enough to sign UFAs here without actively pissing them off after they get here.

That is true. Verbeek used an NHL roster spot for Luneau to body build for half a season.

Though, Hagg is playing for Vegas' AHL club this year.
