Based on one draft pick, it's quite far fetched to say how long does their rebuild last. :)
They started rebuild just this season, but already have Miroshnichenko, Cristall and Leonard , they also going to trade Kuznetsov and probably couple more players

Caps are in a weird spot. They locked in their Cup winning core despite it being long in the tooth (Ovi, Backstrom, Carlsson, Oshie). The funniest part is that we’re able to effectively pull off amazing drafting and have the next generation of Caps and restocked on the fly with Vrana, Wilson, Kuznetsov, Stephenson, Burakovsky, Orlov but they moved off from a lot of those guys …and ignoring the disastrous Filip Forsberg move as well.

So they kind of need to start over again by another four years down the road from
The 2019 resignings with their Cup core another four years older and Vrana, Stephenson, Orlov, Burakovsky, and Stephenson all gone and Wilson well in his broken and always hurt phase of his career.

So they need to find a way to get out from the big deals of the old guard, restock the young talent - and the best way to do that now is to move Kuzy and Wilson for a lot but both are complicated moves. I’m very curious to see how the Caps to forward as they are kind of at a weird crossroads

Skelleftea doesn’t have the track record of developing prospects that Rogle, Frolunda, Lulea and Djurgarden have.

Without doing much research, the two most recent successes to pass through Skelleftea are Berggren and Broberg. They’re a good veteran SHL team but not great at development.
Lmao what? Players who've come up through Skellefteå's system with at least 100 NHL games includes Adam Larsson, Viktor Arvidsson, Oskar Sundqvist, Oscar Lindberg, David Rundblad, Sebastian Aho, Marcus Pettersson and Pär Lindholm.

The only one comparable to any of these players from Rögle is Moritz Seider who only played there for one season. Luleå have who, Filip Gustavsson? Who is from Skellefteå's system from the beginning. Nils Lundqvist? He might turn into something at the NHL level.

Djurgården and Frölunda are from the two biggest cities in Sweden with a player base like no other team is close to, so it's no surprise that there's been many draft picks from there.

Look at the list of NHL draftees from Sweden since 2018 and the teams I listed have produced more 1st and 2nd rounders in recent years than Skelleftea.

It was a better development program in the past but doesn’t have the output of others now.

No, they've not. You can't just look at the team the are playing for the moment they are drafted, and you certainly can't look at recent drafts to see how strong the program is at developing future NHL players.

He reads and executes plays quickly, making good things happen for his teammates every time he is out on the ice. Stickhandling and puck possession play is superb. Makes high percentage decisions that help his team move the puck up-ice. High-end hockey IQ and understands his own game very well, allowing him to stay coachable and play to his strengths in any situation.
A fantastic skater… an effortless stride and light feet…loses no speed in transitions and is difficult to lock down
He scans the ice well in all three zones and when he made a decision on where to move the puck, delivers passes hard and on the tape.😜

Chris Peters covers the USA team but had nice things to say about Axel.
Axel Sandin Pellikka, D (Detroit Red Wings): After a so-so performance in his first game of the event Monday, Sandin Pellikka was on his game Wednesday. He scored a goal on a tremendous rush and move to the inside before unleashing a quick shot past the goaltender. He played with pace, directed a ton of pucks to the net and was strong on his skates in his own zone. He’s excellent at getting pucks up ice. His skating ability and strength on his feet make him a much more forceful player despite being below-average in size for defensemen. He was a factor throughout the game.

First preseason game for Skellefteå AIK and Axel Sandin Pellikka. Skellefteå pretty much dominated the whole game and only got 10 shots against so he didn't have to work especially hard on the defensive side, but showed offensively that he will be extremely fun to watch this season.

He uses a lot of ice with good skating. Might take a bit to translate to NHL size rink, he also enjoys going into contact and bursting past.

I love those Skelleftea uniforms, would love to get an ASP jersey from there.
Hit up Xoleraz on Reddit. He sells lots of rogle/frolunda related wings stuff. Might be able to score you something from the Skellefteå store if they ship (SKE is way up in northern Sweden)
