Yes, it’s more than just worrisome. It’s frustrating. It doesn’t feel like bad luck or a cold stretch. It just feels like lazy selfishness. I mean, as pointed out he’s been good defensively, but even admitting he has been, he still just looks horribly lazy and disinterested. It’s infuriating. The kids not producing is disappointing but at least it’s clearly they’re desperately trying to be productive and contribute. With Mika it’s the opposite. He looks so haphazard and uninterested out there.

Yeah, he definitely looks lazy instead of snake bitten or bad luck. Like he’s taking shortcuts he never did before.

Got married in the off-season, named to team Sweden before the season even stated, signs a huge max term extension for 68m bucks. A lot of things that might cause someone to “take their eye off the ball” so to speak. I’m sure he’s trying but when you’re not as in tune with the details and doing all the right things it can burrow into your game like a weed.

Probably the most disciplined and best defensively they have been. Toronto is simply a better team. Just frustrating to watch the Rangers create absolutely nothing 5 on 5 and PP.

I think if panarin and mika could look remotely like they’re capable of, our offense wouldn’t be such a black hole. panarin and mika haven’t been impressive this seasom despite the points.

Panarin and Strome are not going to suddenly play a heavy game just because the Leafs are focused on defense like they're possessed. Meeka lost his heavy game a long time ago. Kreider never played a heavy game despite being a unit.

Not sure why everyone's getting depressed, frustrated and angry. I thought this was a good team? They had a seeing eye point shot goal and a special teams goal. We've totally hung with them. We broke down just slightly just a bit more than they have, and that's been the difference. It's not like we've been dominated up and down the ice.

Yes, he was touted as 1st overall talent. We've now seen he's not. Just like we've seen Shesterkin is far better than a 4th round talent, which you pointed out yourself.
