IMO it’s the most egregious out of the signings we’ve had. We could deal with the Kreider and Trouba, but this was really the major decision on where our direction was going. And it’s not looking good

What should we have done? Trade for Eichel and not have a top 6 C indefinitely? Trade for a prospect? Idk. Seemed like the right decision at the time but I’m getting worried. Not completely but slightly.

If the game continues as it has they'll probably lose, that said they weren't never losing again so whatever. They're playing hard defensively but so are the Leafs and they're just doing it better. Or they just have a better offense.

Yup. All the complaining about the kids not being better yet and meanwhile our 1C that we locked in for 8 years after this one at 68million bucks looks about as bad as he has at any point in a Rangers jersey. That’s far more concerning to me.

Yes, it’s more than just worrisome. It’s frustrating. It doesn’t feel like bad luck or a cold stretch. It just feels like lazy selfishness. I mean, as pointed out he’s been good defensively, but even admitting he has been, he still just looks horribly lazy and disinterested. It’s infuriating. The kids not producing is disappointing but at least it’s clear that they’re desperately trying to be productive and contribute. With Mika it’s the opposite. He looks so haphazard and uninterested out there.

Yeah I’m really talking about offensively and on the rush. Really bad. Very hesitant, constantly flubbing easy pucks, missing open passes, fanning on shots. Like he just looks terrible.

Made two fantastic passes to Kreider on Tuesday.

Fox just looks like he isn’t interested in this one. Not sure he’s playing bad per se he just doesn’t have any real push to his game

Leafs are just buying in right now

Maybe putting in heavy minutes is beginning to catch up. Teams are also playing him tighter and getting more physical with Fox. Really wish he didn't have to log a ton of PK time.

Probably the most disciplined and best defensively they have been. Toronto is simply a better team. Just frustrating to watch the Rangers create absolutely nothing 5 on 5 and PP.

Not sure why everyone's getting depressed, frustrated and angry. I thought this was a good team? They had a seeing eye point shot goal and a special teams goal. We've totally hung with them. We broke down just slightly just a bit more than they have, and that's been the difference. It's not like we've been dominated up and down the ice.
