This narrative on the Rangers has more or less been debunked extensively at this point.

And crapshoot is going to be the next buzzword that gets added to the HF blocked glossary.
Draft is incredibly hit or miss on its own. Most drafted players never see the ice of an NHL game.
Rangers haven't been great at finding diamonds in the rough.

**** yeah DeAngelo. Demolished that fool!

The one thing I like with kids like ADA, Andersson, Lindgren, etc. is that you don’t have to coax the moxy out of them.

You have to channel it, structure it, refine it maybe. But you don’t have to beat it out of them.

As I said before, I'd rather tame a tiger than paint stripes on a cat.

Rangers haven't been great at finding diamonds in the rough.

And yet 95 percent of players in the NHL were drafted at some point.

So you have to start somewhere.

Also disagree on the diamonds in the rough things. I think the Rangers have done well in that department, it’s finding the superstars they’ve struggled with. Though I don’t know if they’ve been in too many positions to find them the last 13 years or so.

The Rangers make or break will be their ability to find top end talent in the coming years. They’ve already got the potential support core in place.
