Agreed, and I fully believe it's due in no small part to the realignment. We play half as many games against division rivals as we used to.

Replacing Gionta, Moulson, Franson.

While Moulson has potted a few timely goals. And Franson is hit and miss with a few decent performances. Overall those two keep dragging the team down 5v5.

Gionta is just "bleh" at this point. And "bleh" shouldn't be allowed to be the captain of a team.

Those roster spots need to go to younger prime age journeyman that can contribute consistently.

Your omission of Gorges, who is by far the biggest liability on this team at 5v5 when Des is out - seriously, it isn't close - is glaring.
