Kulikov and ROR didn't practice Monday, with Kulikov confirmed out. Sabres need to make three recalls after returning Baptiste, Schneider, and Falk to Rochester, so I tentatively penciled those three back in the lineup until told otherwise.

One teams defense is better than the other....

This could be a huge upset, Blues looked worse than Buffalo the last game. Go Sabres.

Would you be surprised to know that St Louis gives up significantly more ES goals against?

ES GA
Stl: 1.86
Buf: 1.46

Total GA
Stl: 2.56
Buf: 2.33 (5th in NHL)

Of course, we are 2nd worst goal producing in the league... because we play such a conservative brand of boring as **** hockey.

Glad you used a pencil - you got two of the three - Schneider stays down, Rodrigues gets a chance.

In 2013 if someone posted this would be our roster in November of 2016 we would have all laughed..that's a tank era group playing tonight.

It's close, you need a healthy Deslauriers in the lineup over Okposo to make it full tankalicious

If you go back in time people would probably be thinking that all of our young guys developed amazingly well, that Reinhart was totally worth it, and that we absolutely fleeced St. Louis on Miller. In reality, it's tank-worthy. At least we can look at our injury list and realize the majority of our long-term core is hurt. Doesn't make these games any less painful though.

Girgs has always been ineffective on the PP.

I don't agree with this. Girgs did get things done from time to time on the PP under Nolan. With that said, I'd prefer Larsson over Girgs on the PP.

It still bafflers me how Disco puts all his eggs in one basket on the PP. He's never tried distributing his players to actually role two descent units.

PP1: Everyone who can handle the puck, something like Eichel, ROR, Reinhart, Okposo, Risto.
PP2: Whatever... Gionta and cannon fodder.

I was planning on going to this when the schedule came out, decided to wait when Eichel got hurt, bailed completely when ROR got hurt, probably a wise decision.

‏@jprutherford - So Yakupov is scratched tonight, that will be four times in the last six games, and he was benched in one of the two games he played.
Hitch on Yakupov benching: “Yak got out of sorts positionally, and we needed to grab it back. That’s the best way to describe it.”

I'm still going. Not like Buffalo's in St. Louis often. I'm fully expecting to come away disappointed, but at least it's a good excuse for me not to do any studying/reading for a few hours.

I was at least hoping ROR would be ready to go, but alas.
