He doesn't appear able to be able to do multiple things at the plate. It's either patient all the way, or hack and slash. He has to play everyday with his glove, but you're right, there needs to be some signs of improvement soon. Hopefully the rest of the team gets hot so the pressure isn't as high on him.

He's gotten progressively less patient as the season has gone on. It's like each game he goes without showing real signs of turning around the struggles makes him press a little more and hack a little more hoping to get a random mistake pitch that lines up and gets destroyed.

Yes it sucks Dickey just gave up 3 runs, but 6 IP, 3 runs against still qualifies as a Quality Start, and it gives our team a chance to win.
