Watch a first pitch strike down the middle, Then foul off the second pitch and follow it up by swinging at a garbage pitch in the dirt or way out of the zone.

I noticed the O's pitcher has gone fastball in the zone, splitter as the second pitch falling out of the zone .. If I'm a Jay next AB I guess fastball on the first pitch and take a chance

It's not good for him to continue to hit like this. He has shown zero signs of improvement.

He doesn't appear able to be able to do multiple things at the plate. It's either patient all the way, or hack and slash. He has to play everyday with his glove, but you're right, there needs to be some signs of improvement soon. Hopefully the rest of the team gets hot so the pressure isn't as high on him.
