I don't think anyone did that, but as you've said, people have the right to make mistakes. I said Okhotiuk is overrated on this board, and he is, but Gritsyuk was deemed to have no elite skills, and time will tell if that's correct.

No but making a good move in the moment and getting off a tricky shot in a tough league to score in is a good sign for a player of his age. I don’t think it’s fair to suggest that anyone has actually said he’s a future superstar. He is what he is and hopefully he’s in NJ next season and the team can properly evaluate him.

Pronman certainly doesn't have time or brainspace to watch 1000 prospects a year and legitimately have a takeaway about their game. His writeup on Okhotiuk is exactly right, though, and Gritsyuk is overrated here (though he is a better prospect than Foote).

And, yes, I`m ok that people make mistakes. I didn`t named you, I didn`t call people who think that way like stupid or didn`t do something like that.
I clearly understand prons and cons of Gritsyuk, and I know he isn`t perfect player, but I remember context, and I know that he deserved to be named top-6\7\8 devils u-23 player for now, and his presence in our top making our pool much better.

Gritsyuk has 30+ goal upside at the NHL level. I don't think anyone is confusing him with Kaprizov, but he's a heck of a scorer with a very under appreciated all-around game. If he were a Toronto or Montreal or Rangers prospect, I think we'd be seeing him routinely ranked as a top 25-50 prospect outside the NHL. For reference, as a pretty non-partial prospect/draft analyst I can say with great confidence that Gritsyuk is a superior prospect to Toronto's Nick Robertson, Montreal's Joshua Roy or the Rangers' Brett Berard, all of whom I've seen ranked very highly on prospect boards.

To me it was pretty good. Nothing too crazy but he did beat the goalie from pretty far out with a wrist shot…. Skated into a good scoring position , changed the angle of his shot to get around the stick check , then went against the grain short side instead of what looked like was going to be a shot to the far side for the goalie.
Its a goal that goal scores make. Most players would just wind up and let it rip . He added deception to the shot . Something that’s needed to score at a decent pace against top talent goalies. The shot release looks very good to me. I’m not saying he is the next Ovechkin or anything . Just that he looks like he knows WTF he is doing .

I cought a lot of raw moments especially.

Anyway you can see how he moves without the puck in offensive zone and trying to find place to have a chance for dangerous shots. His skating isn`t... elite(isn`t it?) but he is very... very very good skater. He is 5th player in defensive zone, but he worked good with his stick. I think he create two dangerous chances, make two shots from dangerous spots and was available in a lot of situations. For now I can`t name him good two way player, but he is good with the puck, good with the puck on the boards, creative enough.

I agree. There's only a little bit left. Find three more wingers who are capable of scoring more than 25, and at the same time keep Bratt.

I cant tell if that was a sarcastic agree lol, but I dont think itd take that many more goals inserted from outside the current lineup.

If Jack can score 25+ or more regularly, along with Nico and Bratt scoring 20+, and then Holtz becoming a 30+ guy, I think youd see Sharangovich be knocked down a peg.

Currently he and Bratt can both play right wing, right? Well we may not need them to in, say, two years when Holtz and Mercer can anchor the right side while you have Bratt and Palat on the left.

I could agree with moving Palat down in favor of Sharangovich's goal production but Palat has made a career of playing next to young studs. So it makes sense to me that he help do the dirty work on Jack's line (which likely has another kid on it in Mercer or Holtz)

This year though Sharangovich hs fair claim to the top-6. And possibly next year too, I dont know how Holtz will progress. I just know hes a damn good goal scorer and has one hell of a shot, so his desired fit in the near future seems obvious.

And this all doesnt take into account if Fitzgerald goes and acquires a new winger/replaces Bratt/etc... We could have a newer look in two years versus what we have today. Though I think thats unlikely.

Definitely a stoppable goal on the goalie on a clean shot short side, which seems to be about the case on approximately 28% of the NHL goals for me.

I'll stick to reviewing NHL goals, but there are no NHL goals currently and it's the only material I have right now!

In the last three months of the season Shara scored 16 goals and 30 points in 38 games. If he can play at that level he’s going to be a top six guy. He’s playing for a new contract and he’s got a feel for the NHL after 130 games. I’d give him a pretty good chance of playing well as long as he is healthy.

Gristyuk was a bit snakebitten but you can really see his talent. Bardakov made a nice play at the end for the empty net assist. Hopefully with Sarge on the staff in NJ more Russian players will feel comfortable coming to play there. Thanks as always for sharing this with us. Much appreciated....

He should play with defensive reliable center and another winger. There are a moment, when he was play on the boards against tall opponent and he was useless. He is good with his stick, but he is not with his body. But I think it`s ok.
I like this game from Bardakov. He is dangerous and always pain in the vss for opponents.
