How can you make such a definitive statement with such a small sample size?
He's had as many good games as bad ones... playing on an AWFUL defensive team.
Goaltending helps defensive numbers, and defensive numbers help goaltending numbers. There's a ton of give and take. Even Carey Price and Ryan Miller couldn't get their teams into the playoffs single handedly. Check out Brian Eliotts rise to the jennings trophy this year... did you think he just magically found his game or that getting off a horrendous Ottawa team may have had something to do with him finding it?
No reason to write Reimer off, or even come close as of now. Give him a full season at the NHL level on a team that has even a clue what defence is before judging him.
Plenty of good NHL goalies have followed a similar career path. Do you have the right to doubt his a ability because of last season? Absolutely, but you can't completely dismiss him yet.
Reimer is not the answer.
Who cares?
Play Reimer. PLay ****ing Elvis if he can still stop a puck.
I only came into this stupid thread to see about a freaking O'Reilly deal.
