Speculation: 12/13' Trades/Proposals: Short season is better than none, now for trades.

What young guys on D would Campoli be blocking? Mark Fraser? Mike Kostka? Campoli is better.

We need to shed forwards, but we should add another D, and Campoli is decent

are the 6 D men Holzer 7th. You add Compoli for what? Injuries is how young guys down on the farm gain experience into the NHL why take that opportunity away?

Blacker coming up for a cup of tea to gain experience does a hell of a lot more for this organization than Compoli will ever provide. Has Kostka ever had an opportunity at the NHL level to speak with such definite that a player like Campoli is worth while to not get a chance? He's only 2nd down in the AHL in offensive production don't youth think a chance makes better sense than a proven failed NHL player that can't stick on one team?

Decent is not what the Leafs require the AHL team is full of descent, what is needed is significance anything less is pointless.

Kostka should be in the minors, don't over value him, he is a decent call up. Rielly should spend the rest of the year in Junior. Gardiner is hurt, and we have no idea how long he will be out for. Campoli can likely bring more then Holzer and Komisarek

Rangers are quite a bit under the cap this season still even with him counting against it. They are around 65m with only MDZ to sign. They won't be trading him in my opinion.

Look at next season though. No money (around $7 mill) and have to sign Stepan, Hagelin, McDonagh. They will have to make some moves.

LOL!!!!! Ah no thanx, Holzer is a prime fit and so is Fraser and you can put Ranger in there also under Carlyles type of system. He is probably loving the fact that he has 3 hard nosed defensive D men that would excel under his plan. Campoli is not that guy, not even close.

Hearing once MOU is signed by NHL and NHLPA - we're still waiting and don't know exactly when - signings/trades legal 2 hours after that.

So even when it gets signed we have to wait an additional 2 hrs on top of that. So if it gets done by 8PM, no real trades til 10.

LOL! The only over value is you with Campoli... There's not much of a difference with what's down in the AHL with Campoli, the AHL as a league is full of Campoli's that can't get a chance into the NHL. It could be argued Campoli belongs in the AHL just as much as Kostka does.

If ROR was Colorado's best forward what does that say about Duchene and especially Stastny... You would be hard pressed after what Gardiner showed at the NHL level last year to find any GM trade Gardiner to land ROR.

You could believe whatever you want to believe that's your prerogative the Leafs do that type of trade they will be losing out on an all star puck moving D men and will still be looking for a #1 center. Bad move almost as bad as the trade that brought Gardiner to the Leafs.

Lol, your bias as a Leaf fan is shining quite a bit right now. ROR is worth more than you think and Gardiner is worth less. I would be very hesitant to include Gardiner in most trade scenarios. But ROR is a great young player. He's just Western Conference and wasnt a top 5 pick, so people who get excited by shiny things dont realize how good he is.

Then Gardiner steps in when he comes back. Campoli is brutal. I'd much rather have Fraser, Holzer or Kostka in the line-up.

Rangers can afford buyouts.

They currently have 57.4m signed with 17 players. Take away Reddens 5.6m (bought out) and they would have a cap payroll of 51.8m. You mentioned some important players they would have to sign but all of them are RFAs and won't be able to demand as much, personally I think the Rangers are fine.

Yup that's it your right... 1 question why is Colorado not jumping to sign him at all cost if he's as talented as you say? He's a good young player but doesn't have all star potential like Gardiner does. I guess you're willing to trade Rielly for ROR than? If not than who's not seeing things correctly.... Sounds awfully like the norm these days that the grass is greener on the other side... If I'm trading Gardiner to Colorado I'm asking for Duchene not ROR but hey you have all the right in the world to believe what you believe doesn't make you anymore right than I.

he has player 22 games on Euro ice thats much bigger. He will be in shape and game ready.

he has also got 3G and 3A

I know were talking apples and oranges but how in God's name does Grabbo get 5 million for 5 years, and Franson only gets 1 million for 1 year? I just don't understand how the Leafs value their players? Franson is IMO, a very good 3/4 defenceman on most NHL teams, he's got to be worth more both in value and term, right???????
