I'm sure its been said, but Ryan O'Rielly should definitely be a trade target.

-21 years old
-in his first two years, one of the most heavily used PKers in the entire league + ~60% defensive zone starts those two years... Aka very trusted defensively
-corsi advanced stats (as well as watching him play) indicate that while he's on the ice, his team has the puck far more often and gets far more shots than the other team
- led his team in scoring last year. At age 20/21, he put up similar numbers to what Kessel has done every year except last year when Kessel was 24

This guy is a great two-way forward, probable Selke winner in the next few years, and he has skill to boot. He's intelligent, reads plays, doesnt cough up the puck, has a good FO Win %

At worst, he's a very good two-way ~55-60 point C, at best? Who knows. He could really be a gem primed for a breakout. Not many players lead their team in points at age 20-21

no.

ROR is good but nothing more than a 2nd line c... Gardiner is a 1st line Dman

Lol. ROR is a year younger, and was by far the better player out of the two last year, Colorados best forward while Gardiner was our ~3rd best defenceman, 4th best if you consider how Liles was before injury as his benchmark.

And yet Gardiner IS a 1st line Dman and ROR IS nothing more than a 2nd line C. Talk about fan bias. ROR is worth more than Gardiner.

No.

Just stick around hfboards. It will be up here or on the main trade board within seconds of its first reporting.

That page will likely be the last page to display them. Its not the NHLs business to break trades. You could open a Twitter account and follow the main hockey personalities (Dreger, McKenzie, Lebrun, Kypreos etc). Just make sure you get their real accounts as each of them have several fakes.

It's my expectation some GMs are sitting on trades/signings that are done or close to done and as soon as gun goes off, there'll be activity
Recent tweet lol

I want trades to open already. I want this Luongo shenanigan gone already .

Excruciating is my preferred term.

No kidding. And just when you think it's over, and are expecting an 8am finalization, it gets put back with litigation garbage.

No one can say exactly when MOU gets signed, probably no earlier than this afternoon but it could be after that tho "today" seeems expected.

So continue to wait......

Franson is a lock in our top 6! We need a good right handed shot.

he has player 22 games on Euro ice thats much bigger. He will be in shape and game ready.

he has also got 3G and 3A

From what I gather from all your posts, your very enthusiastic and extremely optimistic ...

Ya, i say a glass is half full.

We have some nice positives about this team. Burke also has put us in good shape for the future with great cap management, acquired prospects and hiring Eakins to develop the kids.

This season is win win for the Leafs. If we make the playoffs thats great for players development and confidence. If we dont we have an opportunity to get #1 overall (new CBA draft change) and bring in a top prospects in a great draft year.
