While the players’ vote ratifies the new CBA with the NHL owners, a written Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) consistent with what the players voted on, must be completed before the Agreement becomes final. The NHLPA and the NHL continue their work to finalize the MOU.

You'd think they would have that written up and ready to go. That would give both sides time to look it over and then it could be dealt with as soon as the votes were tallied. Plus that would open up free agent signings and trades for those of use who are waiting for those to happen!

kinda sucks that by the sounds of it ranger isnt gonna sign an nhl contract yet but if he wants to ride it our with the marlies and we can sign him for next season its still worth the wait


my hunch is komi will rebound under carslyle and become a decent #5 (he looked like he was regaining some mojo down the stretch last year) and holzer will be up with the big club for the majority of the season, franson being signed to a 1yr deal just over a mil SCREAMS sign and trade to me
