Jim Fox just outdid himself, picking Jordan Nolan as Player of the Game. I really wonder how he expects to ever be taken seriously when he does things like that.

Seriously? You obviously didnt watch the game or have a bias against Nolan, because that was probaly the best game he has played in a while. And I'll take the opinion of a real nhl player over an anonymous internet poster.

So do I. Too many people look at his SV%, and think it's a reliable method to evaluate him. He's a top 10 goalie easily.

Not saying he's bad but that's like saying people looking at a scoring fwd's point total and saying that's not a reliable method to evaluate.

In that case, he could have recognized it by pointing out that it was the best game that Nolan played in a long time. Giving him Player of the Game when he clearly wasn't, just to honor him for being decent for the first time in a long time, is like awarding participation trophies to kids. You can subscribe to that, but I don't happen to like that kind of thing, myself.
