Nazar isn’t making this team

It's kind of looking that way which bums me out.

I was gunning for him to make it, along with Slaggert, but it's looking more and more likely that they'll be debuting on Rockford's 1st line.

Nothing wrong with that though. Lots of kids on that roster, and I like that they'll get to grow with each other. Rockford isn't the graveyard it used to be.

There is no need to rush these kids. They are better off playing big minutes in Rockford and learning how to lead a team instead of surviving and making mistakes in the NHL. Chicago has plenty of NHL players this year. Let Chicago figure things out and bring the young guys up in a selective way.

Paucity of offense has been overwhelming.

Je should stack next game with nearly full roster for season lineup.. then if we cannot beat the Wild next pre-season game we will know it is anotger bottom 5 lottery year.

Unless these preseason win/losses are counting with the regular season win/losses , then who TF cares? In fact, I wish they would not keep track of win/losses and/or stats during the preseason because they don't matter.

Different sport, but I always point out that the 0-16 Lions went 4-0 in their preseason.

Can't extrapolate much from a bunch of games where the actual talent is just trying to warm up and not get injured.

Preseason means absolutely nothing and it doesn’t matter what sport it is.

Truly nothing exciting has happened. Maroon looks useful, Smith looks useful, there are no truly exciting developments on the prospect front.

People getting hot and bothered about Spellacy, his skate tool was always elite and that’s what he’s flashed. It would be exciting to see him skill it up or something but good nonetheless that he’s flashed a bit.

No one is “excited” about Allan. He looks solid. That’s great for him. And good for the team but not earth shattering.

Seems Korch has made some incremental gain which is the best news from a longterm view.

Nazar below “meh”, no Levy, no Kaiser, Colton “meh”, etc. no one has flashed but that’s not the end of the world. Bedard hasn’t done anything cool yet.

not like last year where Vlasic came from the clouds. But that doesn’t happen every year.

Hell I think it was the 2018 Hawks but they started the season off beating the Pens and Jackets the first two games of the year with a combined score something like 13-2. They ended up being terrible.

Point being it’s a long season

I remember when some of our less reasonable posters were freaking out a year ago because the only goal Bedard got in the preseason was an EN.

I like watching hockey, so I'll gladly accept watching preseason games, but you shouldn't read too much into any of these games.
