Actually the correct translation would be "When did goals start translating to goal scorer" which is actually debatable.

Boyle scored 21 goals two years ago, is he a goal scorer?

Just cuz he's 14th in hits, doesn't make him a physical, tough player.
I'm not a Boyle hater, he's an ideal 4th liner (3rd when he's playing really well) and penalty killer, but to label him as a tough guy is wrong IMO. For his size, he is FAR from tough.

Seriously? Other than saying he's not tough because I say he's not, one should rely on some statistics, no? I'd say hits, blocked shots, roughing & fighting calls as well as TOI (to some extend) would provide you with some measure re. hockey player "toughness".

Let me redefine my definition of tough. Intimidating.

No one is afraid of Brian Boyle.

Really hope Gabby gives me some incentive to post this one more time.

I love this definition.

We've moved from evaluating players based on how they make us feel. Now we're evaluating them based on how we feel they make other players feel. Flawless.

lol.

Magical isn't it.

Yes, the same Erik Karlsson that is the best player in hockey.

What's your point? Is it some sort of accomplishment to be intimidating to one player? Especially when that one player is Erik Karlsson, one of the smallest and weakest players in the league? He's like Gaborik on defense. Gaborik is soooo hard to intimidate, he just loves to play rough.

Okay, which other forward on our team is tough then? I guess no one by your specialized definition of a 'tough player'.

You mean my opinion on how other players view him? While you may not agree with my opinion on that, how is that way of judging a player flawed?

lol.

And which player has ever been intimidated by him?

I don't know. I'm not his best friend. In my opinion, he's a tough hockey player. Disagree with it all you like.

Just like you hate Rick Nash. I'm not gonna change that. Quite frankly, he could play well and score goals, and he wouldn't change that.
