How does he play soft? 14th in hits last year in the NHL.
When did hits start translating to toughness? His hits have a lot less impact than a guy like Callahan who is quite a bit smaller.

Never EVER EVER let me see you mention the names Powe and Pyatt when it comes to fighting or tough hockey.. Powe is aggressive but not a good fighter. Pyatt is softer then new born baby crap.. Boston will play tough but not really a goon team. Lucic and Thornton are both very good hockey players that fight.. we will be pushed around tonight but not gooned out..

Well in my extremely scientific simulation (aka a game of NHL 12 on sega genesis... long story) the rangers are going to win 10-1. Richards pots 6, Gabby with a hatty and Steps with the finisher. Only goal against was Bergeron on a penalty shot.
Let's see it boys. LGR
Don't laugh, I had that argument with an anti-Boyle fanatic not too long ago."When did goals start translating to goalscoring?".
"When did goals start translating to goalscoring?"
I mean, come on man.
How about you never tell me what to mention and not like you have some authority over me? Take it down a notch.
We must disagree on the importance of having a "good fighter." I can't remember the last time I saw a "good fighter" make a difference in a game. I really can't. Rupp freaking out on Kopecky for punching DZ was entertaining, but I don't think it made a damn bit of difference. Guys like Orr and Thornton fighting each other does nothing but waste time. I doubt Lucic, being a top 6 players, arguably a top line winger, is looking to get into a ton of fights with the type of guys who want to fight him. That's a horrible trade off for his team, they lose a great player and the other team loses a goon.
Like it or not, fighting means less and less every season. At this point, there are a handful of fights over the course of an entire year that honestly have any real difference on the outcome of a game.
Actually the correct translation would be "When did goals start translating to goal scorer" which is actually debatable.
Boyle scored 21 goals two years ago, is he a goal scorer?
Just cuz he's 14th in hits, doesn't make him a physical, tough player.
I'm not a Boyle hater, he's an ideal 4th liner (3rd when he's playing really well) and penalty killer, but to label him as a tough guy is wrong IMO. For his size, he is FAR from tough.
No, he wrote "When did hits start translating to toughness?". For your translation to work he should've written "when did hits start translating to hitter/grinder". But he wrote toughness, which is pretty much decided by how much one hits.
Is scoring 20 goals your defintion of a goal scorer? To be a scorer in this league you should be at around 35-40 minimum in my opinion. WAY too many players score 20.
I won't tell you anything no problem just watch and know the game .. Ask Boston how it was to watch John Scott knock the living sh#t out of Thortnon and go on and get spanked . How is that for the last time a fight changed a game ? How about once we signed Orr and he played regularly jagr grew 2 ft bigger knowing he was dressed
