We all know that Vanek has been accused of having cement shoes but he doesn't look "slow."

I think it's more of a playing 100%, than just being slow. VHP hustle almost every shift, we don't see slow. I'd bet Grigs is faster than atleast VH, giving Pomms a run but he floats and looks slow. Myers glides. It's the hustle factor.

The knock on grigs is he is slow. He'll have to work on his skating much like coho has. But grigs is in no way faster than vanek or coho. Maybe he has the potential to be faster but not even close this season.

Except he doesn't. He's still 3 better than Myers for **** sakes. Get your talking points straight.

Now Weber weak on his stick and it's 2-2.

Doesn't change that I want to see Leo in the column of "Ex-Sabre" sooner rather than later.

Why is it that the guy with a "A" on his jersey and the vet on his line has been so useless this year.

So tired of Stafford

I seriously think that getting Leino back will really help the team. He brings a new dimension to the 3rd line, will get Grigs some more ice time, and will get some of the dead weight scratched.

Leino plays defense? :D

They have nearly nothing from their bottom 6 most nights. Hecht's a shell of his former self -- I wouldn't mind if he was getting fourth line minutes at ES and PK time, but he's drawing in on those minutes Leino would probably have. Any sort of possession for those guys would be novel.

In spite of that goal (from the sweet spot right in the slot and possibly partially screened), Miller is playing well tonight....Much better IMO than vs. the Habs.

He's been in position to make the save and is playing just a little higher in his crease tonight versus right on the goal line.

Plus his defense is terrible. So it's remarkable what he's been able to do tongiht given that his team has fumbled the puck repeatedly in the D zone all game.

I love the guy with the Rangers Suck jersey. What's the point of that in a game against Buffalo?

lol @ the guy with the "Rangers Suck" jersey

As for Leino, I feel like it's looking more like he won't be back this season. I think we signed a broken player.

Wave some more sticks at your man there, Sabres.

Seriously, when the team knows your not going to challenge them, and just wiff your blade in their direction, it becomes useless. Don't even bother doing it, and God knows we've been watching that stick waving crap for years and years(along with our loose gap at he blue line). The only time it helps us is when we play former Sabres(Brian Campbell).

It's the Island. They and Ranger fans will start chants about the other team randomly -- doesn't have to be against said team. That would be like people starting a "Blow Leafs Blow" chant at a Sabre game... against Pittsburgh. Deep-seated hatred there in the NYC area, something we don't have here.

Just noticed that Pominville got credit for the second assist on Buffalo's second goal... wasn't it actually Vanek? Gotta pad his stats for the Hart Trophy!

Why is Grigorenko up? Send the kid down if you're going to give him 2:44 of ice time, jesus this organization is a ******* mess.

Secondary assist was changed to Pominville instead of Vanek on the 2nd goal, I'd have to see it again but I thought it was Vanek that passed it to Hodgson.

Nevermind, they just changed it back again

Was going off a twitter post...jeez, get pissy much?
If he wasn't worst in the league in +/- coming in, how could he possibly be after the Isles tying goal - considering he was on for the Sabres first goal and even got an assist on it?

He's now +1 on the day, for a season total of -5....4 better than the "pace" set by Wheeler, Myers, and some other guy who's evidentally having a ****** start to the season.

Agreed. If not for Miller, this is a rout.

Funny hearing Duff say they wanted to play a better defensive game. Ha. I say, HA.

Pretty sure it was Vanek to Hodgson to Ehrhoff.
