Re: Boardgames
I'm a big fan of The "X" That Built America docuseries. In The Toys one there are a couple episodes about games. Fascinating stuff.
The guy who invented Srabble spent literal years compiling his information about frequency of letters in the English language, because he had to do it "by hand" Made spreadsheets all filled out by hand.
The inventor of Clue got the idea from the murder mystery dinner parties he was exposed to. Poor guy made some money years later, but got nowhere near what he could've (no royalties!)
Jenga was invented by a woman who just came up with it as a building block game she played with her son.
Rubik's Cube was made by a college professor to teach his students how to mentally map 3D situations.
Quite a bit more interesting stories if you like to nerd out to those type of things.
I wonder where they are
I use a knock off kcup reusable cup in a “kcup compatible” machine for simplicity. When I can sit and drink coffee in peace I use a pour over chemex.
I’ve been drinking Stocking Mill coffee for about a year or so. Great coffee and the owner does a ton of charity shit for vets.
When I get breakfast from ShopRite I grab a cup of presidential. It’s pretty damn good.I used to be a big fan of Ellis Coffee, out of Philadelphia. The Presidential Blend was tip-top. Then, I received a batch that tasted "wormy" and haven't gone back.
Wait, so he drives this season with Mercedes AND THEN moves to Ferrari? Am I understanding that right?
Is this normal at all?
With all the issues they've had the last two years, I can't believe he's going to risk going to them for what could be his final years. How will Lewis react when Ferrari mess up his pit stops or put him on the wrong tires?
Me too. I avoid it. Commies.I remain undefeated against Apple.
The Bettor attempted to place further bets that were denied for suspicious activity, including statements that the bet was "for sure going to win" and "if only you guys knew what I knew".
The Bettor showed the sports book staff messages between him and Bohannon about the scratching of Alabama's starting pitcher
So last season the Alabama baseball coach resigned amid a betting scandal.
Turns out he texted 'someone who is identified only as bettor 1' that the SP was out and the bettor should 'hurry' before he makes it public.
That bettor then attempted to put in a $100,000 bet and was denied and given a max of $15,000. He tried to make additional bets and was stopped by the sportsbook staff as he basically ADMITTED he knew stuff.
Like LOL. Why are you giving them your inside info? Did you think the staff was gonna be like "Oh shit dude. Let's all get in on this. Sure you can bet $100,000. Let me bet some money too!"
