Hey, I have a question about that carpeting thingy on your stairs, what is where did you get it do you like it? I got these things that are individual carpety things with sticky stuff on the back, they're ok but I think what you have looks nicer. How does it stay in place? Does it stay in place?

View attachment 791550

Had to call my dad in on this one as it was like that when we bought the house, but he does this sort of stuff for a living.

Stair Runner and it is "tacked" at the underside of the step overhang and where the steps meet. Essentially just a piece of carpet that is like staple gunned under the overhang of the top step, pulled down and staple gunned at the 90 where the steps meet, pull across and over the over hang and staple gunned again under the step overhang. Rinse, repeat.

I explained to him how your stairs appear to vary in depth up to that turn. It would take some maneuvering to get it to look right without it bunching anywhere, but it should be able to be accomplished. If you'd like an hour long video on how to do it:

Is there something on the back that keeps them from sliding? I've seen the kind that have some kind of metal apparatus that holds them in place but I don't want that.

There probably is an adhesive that would work, but I think they are usually stapled. Without that you'd need something to hold each step down while the adhesive dries. There are youtube videos. I actually have to do one in my house. We refinished our staircase during covid, but after we painted the living room and put new flooring down, I said I'll get to that later. Currently re-doing the bathroom now, so I guess it will wait a little longer, heh

Ah, thanks all. The ever-valuable staple gun. Hadn’t thought of that.

Adhesive would be awful to remove later on.

GM @BigToe Magnus wins the rapid and blitz world championships in back back years lol. Only reason it isn't back to back triple crowns is because he doesn't want to play classical.

Homie went 16.5/21 and still lost a rating point lol

No doubt he would’ve beat Nepo again if he decided to play classical. The vid of him walking by the water after his only loss is hilarious lol.

I just saw a video talking about him on chess.com just toying with grandmasters putting himself in precarious positions just because he's bored and even the best of the best provide relatively little challenge for him. Unreal.

Wow exciting it's 2024 can't wait for more bullshit and Philly sports dysfunction and pain. What does everyone think the next major historical time we'll live in will be? China/Taiwan? Major hit to the USD after the credit bubble pops? Artemis 2? A new Nintendo flagship console?
