We have any doctors in the house? Or at least anyone who stayed at a Holiday Inn recently?

I jacked up my ankle/foot two weeks ago and got the MRI "results" back today. It is just the description of the person who read the MRI, but my follow up at Rothman isn't until the 27th. I'm just really looking for information on whether I can start walking on this thing or if I'm going to make it worse.

This is what I'm working with:
1. There is patchy bone marrow edema within the medial malleolus, lateral malleolus, talus, and calcaneus which may be related to contusions or stress reaction.
2. There is a grade 2 sprain of the anterior talofibular ligament.
3. There is partial tearing/tendinosis of the peroneus brevis tendon.
4. Small ankle joint effusion.

I shall prepare the leech

I have two air compressors and I’m fine using them with framing guns and whatnot. I’m not good with the fittings for smaller applications.
What do I need to be able to hook up a small air gun with a gauge hooked up to be able to read the psi inside what I’m inflating, such as a bike tire or a basketball?
My Google fu keeps turning up shitty air tool sets that have a few miscellaneous fittings but nothing to set the gauge up to work while inflating.
I would have to guesstimate the inflation, remove the needle, insert the gauge and fiddle back and forth.

I have 2 suggestions.
1) Try Reddit with the exact same question, in a forum not dedicated to Flyers hockey but maybe something related.
2) Get an aircast and wear it. They can transform your ability to walk with injuries and limit further damage. I have 2, one "left" and one "right", from past injuries, and they are very useful.

AstroAI Tire Inflator with Pressure Gauge, 100 PSI Air Chuck and Compressor Accessories Heavy Duty with Large 2.5" Easy Read Glow Dial, Durable Rubber Hose and Quick Connect Coupler Amazon.com
This is the closest I can find but it looks cheap.
I’m just looking for a configuration of fitting to go together after the blow down gun.

what razors do you guys use? just used the "new" DSC razors for the first time and they are f***in awful

Astra Superior Platinum Double Edge blades. They're <$10 for 100. Their Stainless are also good, but tougher to find.

My Razor is a Henson because I like buying shit that lasts for life, but they work in almost anything.

I shave with a double edge safety razor that was handcarved out of wood by my friend's coworker. Same with the shave bowl. Feather blades are the sharpest out there, but because of that they are the least forgiving if you don't have the hang of it.

Regardless, make the transition. It's a closer, less irritating, and wildly cheaper shave. I got my blades in a 100 pack for $50 on amazon.

I remember being riveted to my computer at a shitty temp job when Killdozer happened. I think everyone can agree this was an unforgettable and insane event. It's like the movie Falling Down if Michael Douglas had access to heavy construction equipment.
Killdozer was a domestic terrorist, full stop. He put lives of potentially thousands of residents in danger by shooting at propane tanks. He drove through city hall where a children's story hour was happening. It's a miracle no one was hurt.

1. You have inflammation from your ankle injury
2. You sprained your ankle badly (partial tear)
3. You sprained a tendon in your foot badly (partial tear)
4. You have ankle swelling

I would try to stay off it. It'll keep the swelling down and allow ortho to more accurately assess it.

Thanks my dudes.

I try to stay away from Reddit. I feel like that is a place I may get lost in multiple rabbit holes and never see the light of day again.

I came away from my first visit at Rothman with one of those giant aircast things and I've been wearing it since. I also I procured two knee scooters, so I have been able to stay off of it for the entire two weeks so far.

I've been using the official medical term of "jacked up" to describe the damage, but I'll go with "sprained ankle and tendon badly". I'm real concerned surgery is going to be needed to repair that tendon, simply because it is going to lead to a series of events that are going to be real annoying.

Partial tears are usually a surgical toss up fwiw. I have a grade 2 rotator cuff strain rn and all I need is a few weeks of rehab at this point. What I'm trying to say there's a lot of medical leeway here.

Good luck with everything

Was sitting in on a meeting with our sister company and two guys from that office were going at each other during the meeting. F bombs left and right, the one guy telling the other guy that he's overpaid if they aren't going to let him do the things he wants. The meeting ended abruptly and they went into the guys office. Pretty sure the one guy just got himself fired. I was laughing.

Did you have a wager on who would get canned?

A number of years ago, this was me and another guy in the office during a meeting after a conference call with a client. We were the ranking members in the room so everyone just sort of stared, gape-jawed. It takes a lot to get a rise out of me, but this guy was getting increasingly over officious, so I directly told him to knock it off. To his credit, he came back at me and we went at it. The whole room was stunned. We found common ground towards the end of the clash and everything eventually simmered down.

Our working relationship since then has been excellent and we both respect each others' work and knowledge much more. Classy move? Nope. Professional? Hardly, but sometimes clearing the air can work wonders. That's what men do - a brief dustup and it's over, whereas most women I know will let things percolate with another woman for years until much greater damage is done.

The one guy was arguing with whom I believe would be his boss. So I'll put some money down on that guy lol.

I think that's kind of what happened here. I think what was being discussed in the meeting was just the tipping point for that guy and he had enough. Can't wait to talk to the other lady that was in the room with them during this call to see what the outcome was

Once you have the hang of it, Feather is great though. First shave with a fresh blade can be tricky, but after it's a little worn it's great and because they start from such a sharp spot they stay sharp longer.
