Got a “I’m a moron question.”

I bought one of these today because my old one started to fail. I moved into my house with this already installed and all I’ve had to do is put distilled water into it every once and a while.

So when I got this one I filled it with distilled water and well it didn’t work…

I have come to find out that I was supposed to put battery acid in the first time.

I have since “emptied” the battery and am picking up battery acid tomorrow.

If I put battery acid in there now knowing that I already put water in there and there’s going to be at least some still in there, am I going to cause some type of calamity? Did I already ruin the battery and I’m just going to be wasting my time anyway?

Send help.
My gut response is that it should be fine. DI water shouldn't affect the nodes in the battery, and if you emptied it out the amount remaining should not decrease the acid concentration appreciably when you top it off with acid. If you're concerned, give the shop a call, but I don't think you'll have a problem.

In 2002, after being away from cycling for a number of years (and gaining the weight to prove it) I went for a Lemond Zurich like this one. My last steel frame. Still have this bike but it's stored away in the garage.

Just a year later i bought "Jaja", a Laurent Jalabert signature model Look Kg381i. In 2002 25% of the riders in the Tour de France were on this frame

In 2016 went for an aero carbon frame, Wilier Cento 1 Air - nicknamed "Darth Maul" for reasons which should be fairly obvious

Finally, since I'm at a "certain age", and carbon fiber frames last basically forever, and this may be the last road bike I buy, a brand new Pinarello Dogma ("Snoop Doggy Dogma"), electronic shifters, disc brakes, the works. Team Ineos rides this frame, Geraint Thomas won the Tour on an earlier model a few years ago.

Years back a buddy and I were coming home from a bar and he wanted to try my Allez . He had some hipster bike and we swapped. “Shit this is is fast” was he quote after about 20 feet.
He proceeded to hop it off a curb. I f***ing went ballistic on him. Can laugh about it now

Why?

I went simplistic in explaining the situation. It doesn’t justify the guy’s actions but that town has some culpability in the situation too. They absolutely railroaded that guy with political strong arm tactics.
Heemeyer can be a very divided subject and I’ve just started to almost like some of the mods on this site so I want to make their job easier.
That or I think they’re bad at their job and want to make it easier.

I don’t acknowledge you as a mod. I am a sovereign poster so your laws hood no sway over me.
This is how I read the situation at a glance. The guy paid a pittance for a shitty parcel and spent the next 12 years of his life in litigious misery before becoming a literal terrorist because he was unwilling to pay for municipal amenities.

The irony is that he didn’t see how he beat the system with a nearly 1000% profit on his dump. Maybe he was too in the red with his wild legal battles.

Also, this website is so trash on mobile. I nearly snapped and built a killdozer, but then I took a breath and realized I could type out a complete response on a computer.

Great you’re here.
If birds aren’t real, and they’re government drones. What’s it mean when birds force their way in my dryer duct and build a f***ing near “inadvertently” trying to kill me?

Also, feel free to chime in on Killdozer. Mods can’t ban children.
@Striiker can we get an illustration of a bird drone? A cross-section with the internal mechanisms would be instructive

I can’t reveal too much but… let’s just say that all birds are drones, but not all of them are government drones. Be very careful, those could be piloted by anybody.

And I have no opinion on killdozer. Ive seen the pic before but I’ve never read into it. Looks like a cheap Fast and Furious spin-off.

I think they did ultimately drain the guy financially in the end. They were hammering him with all types of costly permit violations & such. He overstepped a big rich family unbeknownst to him that owned essentially the big economy drawer in that town (I think it was like a concrete plant or something). This family kind of controlled the town given that. I think this family kind of had a mafia like control over the town. So I think they not only expected to win the bid for the land in the auction but I think they expected there to be no competition so it would be at a reduced rate. This guy came in & ruined all that. The guy apparently offered it back at different times just to cut his loss but they wouldn’t accept.

So I do think it was personal on the town/family’s end to not only get him out of there but embarrass him on his way out too.

The guy was definitely crazy & there’s no way of justifying what he did but I don’t think he was the only bad actor here.

We have any doctors in the house? Or at least anyone who stayed at a Holiday Inn recently?

I jacked up my ankle/foot two weeks ago and got the MRI "results" back today. It is just the description of the person who read the MRI, but my follow up at Rothman isn't until the 27th. I'm just really looking for information on whether I can start walking on this thing or if I'm going to make it worse.

This is what I'm working with:
1. There is patchy bone marrow edema within the medial malleolus, lateral malleolus, talus, and calcaneus which may be related to contusions or stress reaction.
2. There is a grade 2 sprain of the anterior talofibular ligament.
3. There is partial tearing/tendinosis of the peroneus brevis tendon.
4. Small ankle joint effusion.
