Snugs turned 12 today. She got another version of her favorite toy, yes lamb chops or lamby as she calls it.
I couldn’t get a picture of her being still with it.

So if you need a new couch with a lot of bang for your buck, I got this for $1800, plus about $600 for 5 year protection plan, tax and delivery. When your couch has all THIS, you get the protection plan. Freaking power everything. Dual recliner. Head and lumbar adjustment. Bluetooth speakers. Numerous USB ports, headphone jacks and power outlets. To top it off, wireless charging pads that retract to create drink holders. Thanks to my wonderful mother, I was able to replace a decade old malformed and smelly couch with a Throne of Olympus.

Citizens Bank has been offering a 10 Month, 5.5% CD the past few months. Has a $25K minimum. Also have 12 Month, 5% for the online only CD with a $5K min.
Some good opportunities for those with the cash. I have my mom's finances I have to manage as her durable PoA now that my dad's not with us so have been doing alot of yield shopping and buying. Bond ladder I did earlier in the year had a couple of really good corporate bond yields. The CD's were decent but a lot better now. I think we'll be in a period of sustained high interest rate yields. With our debt to GDP getting worse and worse for various reasons...Fed is unlikely to cut rates again anytime soon. Mortgages are nearing the 7% range. Bad thing is the 1 trillion in credit card debt Americans have amassed. Will be a drag on the economy...

Buy the executive membership, it pays for itself. Literally. If you don't rack up enough benefits to cover the extra cost, they refund it.

Just do it. Holy shit. I just got 4 leebs of filet for 35 bucks.
I used to scoff at Costco as a young buck with no family. "Oh nice, I can get 5lbs of mayo at one time, this is incredible."

I've changed my tune completely now with 2 kids. I'm a Costco lifer, that place is the shit.

My family has used Costco for the last 15 years, but that's because we had 4 mouths who would clean their plates. Now, we have 4 mouths that clean their plates but 2 of them are dogs. I'm not sure it would be worth it since we could only buy nonperishables. Meat to freeze and cans. I suppose the bulk aspect would pay though.

We just don't go through provisions that quickly

I don't think you're listening here. When I say "go get a membership" I do not mean "not get a membership."

We have spoken.
