I once had to empty a large jar of pickles into someone's yard. As I was doing so, I looked up and made eye contact with the old lady who lived there. We maintained eye contact as I finished my task. I've rarely seen anyone look so confused.

I'm sure most would want a 3-day weekend and want fri or mon off... so I'd have no problem being Wednesday day-off guy.

Working 2 days, then having off, then another 2, then 2 days off. Would be pretty nice. 10 hours wouldn't even be an issue. I've done 70 to 80 hour weeks working 7 days sometimes multiple weeks in a row during peak at a previous job. Probably main reason it is a PREVIOUS job tho lol.

Also, this morning my mother-in-law finally had her ankle surgery to repair 3 broken bones. All went well and us now in a big cast for 2-3 weeks, then a lighter cast after that. Not allowed to put pressure on it for 6 weeks. Then comes physio. Going to be a long 2-3 months.

Many departments where I work have 12-12-10-6 hour rotations where I work. I used to be able to go back to back 12 hour days. Not anymore.

So yesterday when my wife got home from work she had looked at our bank account and noticed fraudulent purchases. She asked me if I made them and told her no I was working. So they stopped all activity on her debit card. I drove to the bank and talked to one of the tellers she said there were 8 fraudulent purchases on the account. My card was fine it was all her. Purchases made in AZ and St. Louis. The last one was attempted several times in a row including this morning.
I talked to her again on my first break and she said they are going to put a hard post on the one that tried many times. Wife is going to have to get a new card but the bank is going to take care of everything.
These people need to be beaten to death. f***ing scumbags trying to steal money from hard working people.

Hawaiian government going to need to get involved and keep real estate developers from just turning it into a development. It was a functioning smallish town. Obviously prices are high everywhere in Hawaii and the land value is very expensive for the size and quality of home.... but many of those houses had regular locals and workers living in them or renting there. You can't just plop down multi-million vacation homes and not have any kind of actual community nearby.

Apparently it is now being reported that racist slurs preceded the brawl.....such a shocker.

My "Wow" reaction for this was a sarcastic "Wow".

Yeah, so the supposed background context is that dock was apparently where slaves were unloaded and auctioned, so it's kinda hallowed ground for the Black community there. A bunch of silly honkies wandering in and acting that way, at that particular spot, was exactly the kind of decision that earns a community assbeating.

Obviously the entire situation is unfortunate, but it was great to see a group of people come together like that to put a bunch of knuckleheads in their place.

Yeah both have big pluses and minuses. A little easier to take a trip with a 3 day weekend but mentally it's a lot easier to go to work during a week in which Wednesday you're not there.

Wish I could commute on foot or a bike to my new job but alas stuck with using a car for now. Would love to get rid of it and the expenses that come with it.

As much as I hate credit cards this is why I only use credit cards.

Banks will screw around with your money and if a credit card gets stolen/etc. you just simply refuse to pay the bill.
