Sorry to hear that man.

As I mentioned before, it's been a shit year for us:

My mom passed in November.
My wife's grandmother on her mom's side passed in December.
Wife got run over by a heard of deer in March
Wife also full down our icy stairs on her ass in March
We had the wildfires that we had to pack for evacuation for in late May/early June
I hurt my back in June bad enough getting on/off the toilet hurt for 2 weeks
We had the flood in July

And last Wednesday, my wife's Grandfather on her Dad's side passed. Funeral was yesterday. She still had GParents alive both aged 93 and I have 1 aged 87. So likely things are going to keep happening.

As we turn to August, we both have our birthdays as well as our 10 year anniversary. A month or a few months of calm sure would be nice.
Well, well, well. I guess August doesn't want to cooperate with my wishes.

Wife decided to to get a few groceries today since she was off. While gone, I get a call from her mom, crying. She said she slipped on wet grass while watering her garden and broke her leg.

I told her to hang on while I calleMethe wife to notify her. I went to pick wife up and we rushed to get to her mom who lives 20 mins away. Wife called an ambulance while waiting for me. It was 3:05. We got to her mom and then waited for an ambulance and it took till 6:40 before it came. She has been taken to emergency and is getting x-rays and we are awaiting results.

This year just keeps on screwing us.

f*** man. I’m sending you guys as much good vibes as I can for as long as I can

Those trash magazines playing whatever narrative helps them generate revenue.

Jillian Michaels was ripped to shreds for saying Lizzo being overweight isn't healthy. I have a ton more respect for people who work out and eat healthy rather than people who constantly shove Twinkies in their mouth.

Almost all obese people eat like shit and don't workout. Glorifying people's poor choices isn't conducive long term and I loathe sitting next to fat people on airplanes. It takes commitment and dedication not to drive through an in and out / chickfila and get a Double double/etc. when you're hungry.

I've seen fat women try and guilt men into dating them. F that.

Cosmopolitan is a joke
Of course it is, but that doesn’t mean people don’t read it and see it at hundreds of thousands of stores.
Tons of companies now have “plus sized” models plastered everywhere. It’s not just a cosmo thing, that just happened to be the top results of the first thing I searched.

There's too many people. If they hang around a decade less because of too many ring-ding's that's good. If you or a loved one doesn't seem healthy enough try to talk to them and offer help or encouragement.

The rest of the world? Whatever. I'm more worried about what the climate will be like when I'm in my 60s and 70s than whether extreme overweight people are encouraged or discouraged.

Boohoo the models aren't as 'hot' as they were when I grew up, there's people dressing skimpier who I don't 'want' to see dressed skimpily. Meh. Consume what you want to consume. Avoid what you don't want to consume. There's far more choices to consume what you want to consume than in the 80s.

Look, I’m sure these people exist in real life, but you’re getting outraged by an outlier crowd.

Ok, imagine the carbon footprint of all of those people going to the doctors for the umpteenth time, being rushed to the hospital. The strain on the medical supply chain.

Before I get blamed for hating fat people, that heroin chic look from the 90’s was horrendous for young girls physical and mental health.

Thanks, but not my mom's house, it was a place in our neighborhood, I just had her dog for a vet trip. Car fire spread to house. All people and pets got out. House is a total loss.
For some reason I thought you went into the backyard to get the dog, at your moms house, and saw the unfortunate house fire.

Imagine billions of cows and millions of acres of monoculture farms to feed them. Imagine ICE personal vehicles for hundreds of millions

Im in Delaware, Middletown. I was looking at another Rower in Consehocken though
Parents had a place in Galena MD, 15 mins away, for 30 yrs. I remember when 896 came to a stop sign near Lowes. There was one grocery store. We used to be able to see the Milky Way on clear moonless nights. Middletown exploded, never again. Great golf courses there though.

Oh I'm not outraged. I've learned to just more or less ignore whatever is happening in the social climate of the world. I have no influence on it so I'm not the least bit bothered about it. The best thing you can do in this connected world is just to delete any/all social media. Almost all of it is borderline toxic.

If you want to be fat go for it but don't try and pass it off as a healthy lifestyle. It's like we live in some sort of bizzaro world where we don't even want to own our poor choices.
