Here comes NAFTA for knowledge workers....large sucking sound as Perot would say...

Can we hurry up and replace the useless profession of real estate agents?

6% of a sale price of a home for those jokers to do nothing? get outta here.

What the hell is wrong with Animaniacs? Besides the Rita and Runt shorts which were absolue trash. They were the closest we got to the classic Looney Tunes. Plus the Warners were basically The Marx Brothers in spirit. Now Tiny Toons, they aren't worth revisiting.
The nations of the world is a top tier song.
We didn’t deserve animaniacs

The replacement of lawyers comment was also interesting...they previously mentioned paralegals being first to the firing line but can see lawyers. I mean you already have online automated legal services for wills etc.

Real Estate agents and their commissions are absurd though...

I know translation services have already pretty much been rendered obsolete.

I’m very much a “the person who likes the art is right,” guy, but could you imagine how forgettable Who Framed Roger Rabbit? would have been if they went for any other animation atmosphere than original Looney Tunes? Disney was right there. Hell, they’re in the movie. But it wouldn’t have worked on any level.

That movie is a masterpiece. Look at how much effort they put into it to integrate the toons with the real world. For example, they built the nightclub set on a platform so that they could send real trays full of real drinks on poles down the aisles and then added the penguin waiters in animation. If they took the easy way out and animated everything they touch, it has no cohesion at all.

Best Looney Tunes/Disney conflagration in recent times was The Emperor's New Groove. The Disney animators paid homage to Chuck Jones in how they created the action. Very jarring experience when first watching it, but in a good way.

Unbearably funny..

Some real estate agents now work off flat fees.

I don't even understand how the crony system got established. Paying a % of the value to a buyer's agent. How is that anywhere close to the best interest of a buyer (the person who wants the house at the lowest price)....

The worst is when they collude with the seller's agent. Basically happened to me...

On the animation topic, there is Bugs Bunny, and there is everything else. Introduced us to classical music, even though we didn't know it. Most of all, the King of voice actors, Mel Blanc!!! I can still quote multiple Bugs/loony Tunes episodes.

Other greats, Underdog, road Runner....

Looney Tunes are still funny to this day. I loved my 80's cartoons as a kid. Transformers, Thundercats, Voltron, He-Man. I had no idea until very recently that they were basically just commercials for the toys, which came out first:laugh:

Also, the Transformers animated movie kicked all the ass as a kid. Closer to anime in style, and a pretty gnarly soundtrack.

Shoutout to the Hanna Barbera Olympics

I'd love for someone to tell me exactly what they do now besides show you MLS listings.

Inspect the home ? No.
Do the real deal paperwork ? No. The title company does that.
Lend you the money? Nope that's the bank.
Tell you exactly the best price you pay for the buyer? Haha, no. They will show you comparable homes.

There's a reason why washed up athletes, C movie actors/actresses, etc. become realtors. There's no actual skill to it.

"ThE SelLeRs PaY tHe AgEnTs!" ... How stupid do you think I am?

People don't use middle men to buy vehicles. Vehicles... which are significantly more complex as a system than a home.

You do buy cars from a middleman though. The dealership are the middlemen.

This is routinely true. We lucked out by finding an agent who is actually committed to clients, and waived a massive chunk of her flat fee because the processes we went through were stupid. Her advice was really helpful. We ask her for recommendations for repairmen, because she has a fantastic stable of small businesses.

Hearing friends go through home buying processes with other agents really hammered home how lucky we were with her. Zero effort put forth, or downright detrimental. One had the @Embiid scenario where the buying and selling agents colluded and they figured it out before they got shafted.
