Only if you don't have much equity in one. Then you are a serf to the bank. Otherwise, if you are part of the landowner or landlord class you are way ahead of the game ..Houses are for the weak.
Here in the city measurable snow pretty much nonexistent this winter.Technically shovel-less. After this AM, there have been 3 coatings, but not enough to shovel.

Don't jinx it....there are a couple snow threats possible into this weekend and early next week, but they'll probably cut through the Great Lakes or fizzle out like every other storm this yearShaping up to be a snowless Philly winter...

I remember my dad saying that is why we moved from Montreal (one of the reasons at least)...too bad it was initially to Winnipeg Manitoba which chased us back to the U.S.Crazy that you have had no snow to speak of. Montreal has had 92.8" of snow since November, including 37.9" in January alone.
Oddly, the trend the past few years has been that the US East Coast has been walloped with super snowstorms and Montreal was largely spared. This year is our comeuppance.I remember my dad saying that is why we moved from Montreal (one of the reasons at least)...too bad it was initially to Winnipeg Manitoba which chased us back to the U.S.

In the past few years, was Philadelphia hit by the megastorms that plowed into New York and Boston?I think many storms pass off to the west of New England when they turn north. Giving us rain and some ice. We really haven’t had a lot of snow where I am at. Most of the snow events have been 1-4 inches. We were supposed to get 10-15 Saturday but got less than 6
