Cars got safer, schools did not.almost as safe as elementary schools
Saw that there are 6 confirmed victims (3 students, 3 adults) plus the shooter I believe. Not sure if anyone remains hospitalized.
i grabbed Harper at 104 as opposed to his 129 ADP..will not regret it even if i can't put him on IRDecided at the last minute to jump into a Fantasy league on Friday night. As per usual, I don't know anyone in this league. I found out it was a different setup: No MI, CI, 4th-5th OF, or 8th-9th P. Also, it's a 5x6 league because Holds are a category. I was drafting first, which we all know is one of the worst positions, so Rounds 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, etc. are consecutive picks. I didn't see any auto-picks amongst the other owners, which I think is good, although I have been in secondary (for me) leagues where I let the computer auto-pick my team as a challenge for me to test my abilities as a team manager.
C Will Smith, LAD (DJ Jazzy Jeff went in the 11th)
1B Jose Abreu, HOU
2B Ozzie Albies, ATL
SS Trea Turner. PHI
3B Austin Riley, ATL
OF Mike Trout, CAA
OF Luis Robert, CHW
OF Giancarlo Stanton, NYY
UTIL Anthony Volpe, NYY
OF Garrett Mitchell, MIL (Bench)
IR Bryce Harper, PHI
SP Zac Gallen, ARI
SP George Kirby, SEA
SP Hunter Greene, CIN
SP Blake Snell, SDP
SP Nick Lodolo, CIN
RP Paul Sewald, SEA
RP Craig Kimbrel, PHI
SP/RP Jeffery Springs, TBR (Bench)
SP Luis Garcia, HOU (Bench)
Draft Order:
1 - Trea Turner, SS
2 - Austin Riley, 3B
3 - Mike Trout, OF
4 - Ozzie Albies, 2B (Typical of my strategy is to get 2B, SS, and 3B in the first five rounds)
5 - Luis Robert, OF
6 - Zac Gallen, SP (Also typical is not taking a Pitcher in the first three rounds - ideally not the first five)
7 - Will Smith, C (Drafting a C this high was not ideal, but the value separation was not apparent elsewhere)
8 - George Kirby, SP
9 - Jose Abreu, 1B
10 - Hunter Greene, SP
11 - Blake Snell, SP
12 - Bryce Harper, DH (This is what happens when others adhere to ADP. He was listed much lower)
13 - Nick Lodolo, SP
14 - Jeffery Springs, SP
15 - Giancarlo Stanton, OF (Really? Round 15?)
16 - Luis Garcia, SP
17 - Paul Sewald, RP
18 - Craig Kimbrel, RP
19 - Anthony Volpe, SS
FA - Garrett Mitchell, OF, moving Harper to IR
I really don't know much about some of my Pitchers, so I went with the tried/true metric of volume of Ks, especially if projections had them at 9+K/9.0. I try to avoid junkballers, if I can. Seeing Harper still being available in Round 12/13 (these were consecutive picks) reminded me these are good "stash" rounds for injured players who can still give you 3/4 of a season of high production. Jose Altuve, Joe Musgrove, Adalberto Mondesi, and Tyler Glasnow all fall into this category, as well.

Merica...They eliminated the shooter within 14 minutes.
They eliminated the shooter within 14 minutes.
The problem is the deranged person who decided to kill people.Survive the first 5... then the next 5... and the next 5 and then you're good to go.
While it is great that two cops went in together as soon as possible and took out the shooter, still nothing to celebrate. A 1 minute response time and people are still dead. The problem isn't the response time.
Love a guy that has eligibility at almost every positioni grabbed Harper at 104 as opposed to his 129 ADP..will not regret it even if i can't put him on IR

JT was a keeper..only reason so high..same with the Ohatani picksLooks like you did your due diligence on prospect scouting. Carroll and Henderson could be great value picks, even in their first full seasons, but let's see what a 162-game schedule produces. Their projections are fantastic. Lots of sunshine being cast on Kelenic lately, too. Donovan is the ultimate Swiss Army player. Realmuto is a bit too high for my liking, but the fact you got Hernandez at #56 balances that out for me a little bit. Could be good value there, but Seattle ain't Toronto when it comes to hitters. I think Nimmo is being undervalued this year. The wildcard, for me, will be Casas. With Bogaerts no longer in Beantown, I am wondering how effective that lineup will be. I think Casas has Boom/Bust potential. What's your format?

I don't think the drivers of cars have gotten any safer. I get two or so attempts on my life every day I have to take my kids to school/commute to work.Cars got safer, schools did not.
Exactly. More guns for teachers and thoughts and prayers is the only answer some people have. Been saying it for years. This country is broken and I don’t think it can be fixed. The problem is The United States of America, and there ain't no fixing it.
I mean if people need this old lady to open their eyes to fascism and the culture war that seeks to marginalize people that is especially going on in Fl ..we are in more trouble than I thought. Keep saying it...America is the worst place to be if you are stupid. You’re never to old to protest and give people a history lesson
