No it isn't.

Unless you think dressing the worst player in the league at his position is something to be celebrated.
Posting the same garbage Staal sucks stuff over and over is the dumbest thing anyone could be doing. It adds literally zero value to any thread that isn't the Staal player discussion thread. And even in that thread it's still questionable.

Ahh f***. I was hoping Quinn would have bucked the trend and not made the lineup changes he did but it's something ALL coaches do. They mess with shit for the sake of messing with shit. As if every small move they make matters so much. Lost big? Let's undo the positive and replace with net-negative-Staal, as if just shaking shit up for the sake of shaking it up will improve things. f***in' confirmation bias bull shit. Then flip the coin and lo and behold we win despite the dumb lineup changes, then said coaches pat themselves on the back for smart line up adjustment sparks. GRITTTTTTTT

If we win tonight then you can forget Lindgren's name, let's just give Staal the C and get it done with.

K.

Horrible player gets forced back into the lineup Bc reasons.

It’s a valid talking point.

It's not a valid talking point. Staal has not been good for a while. How about discussing the other glaring problems? Staal days are numbered. But yeah let's keep complaining about mind numbing irrelevant stuff like Staal. Instead of oh I do know. Maybe how Andersson hasn't met expectations? Or Buch inconsistent play. Our special teams being underwhelming. Skjei continuing to regress. Etc.

I bet all my vcash on the Rangers today. Kiss of doom, we should lose by about 5 if things go according to my usual luck.

neither of those things, or really anything else are hurting this team as much as playing Staal.

does he help player development? No.

does he help you win games? No.

at least Buch has had his moments.

So, if we win, does that mean Lias and Lindgren sit again tomorrow? Decisions, decisions...

don't be silly that rule only applies if the guy sitting is the player we don't like. if staal plays and we lose, staal should sit. if staal plays and we wins, staal should sit, if staal doesn't play and we win, staal should sit, if staal doesn't play and we lose, staal should sit :)

Who cares if staals plays? This is a rebuild. If anything we're trying to lose. So it works out well if he plays. And a veteran most definitely helps player development.

And at least Buch has had his moments isn't good enough. We don't expect anything out of Staal. Whereas Buch has expectations of progressing which he hasn't. Buch is one of the building blocks to help this team get out of the rebuild. But if he continues his play he will be as hefty as a stumbling block as Staal is. At least with Staal we know he's only here because we suck.

Hoping for good games from the kids. A win for Lundqvist. A first ever bad game by Howard as MSG. Andersson-esque minutes for Staal.
