People are seriously blaming Lundqvist? Yeah, the Paille goal was disappointing, but, seriously, the team has scored 3 goals in their last three games with Henrik in. At some point, the skaters have to bail out Hank.

But he's elite. He's not allowed to give up any questionable goals. If he wants to get paid, he needs to not allow any goals ever to earn his place on this dynamic team.

one goal was ripped top shelf and the other was a breakaway.....yea he has stopped them millions of times before but its hard to say he should've stopped it

They just had bad luck 2nite

Don't care.

They've been outshooting teams all season.

YOU DON'T WIN GAMES IF YOU DON'T SCORE GOALS.

There are no points for the most SoG.

Exactly. Unfortunately for the Rangers, games aren't won or lost by scoring chances, they are determined by how many goals are scored. It's nice that they are dominating but it doesn't mean a damn thing if they aren't scoring.

Last four games:

Brodeur 35 of 37
Price 34 of 35
Scrivens 37 of 37
Rask 44 of 45

154 shots. 4 goals. Opposition goaltender SV% .974.

That SCREAMS of no finish.

Yes, yet people would have us believe that those goalies are just playing out of their minds. They all played well but the Rangers had plenty of chances and couldn't put it away.

Guys, Snowblind is just trying to secure some early votes for this year's boardie. Did he win last year?

lol

This guy

I've gone seven years on this forum, never once using the ignore feature. Well, that just changed tonight.

Not much to say about this game other than the obvious. Hank was good enough...ideally he stops that breakaway, but at the same time he gave up two goals all game. Kreider has been one of our best players night in night out, in terms of generating chances...you have to feel that he's in his own head right now in terms of scoring a goal. You see him throwing his head back every time he misses a chance. Hopefully he gets one soon, and then the flood-gates open.

Considering his light work load he was one of our worst players tonight. Rask made him look like an AHL goalie. He gave up two goals on 5 or so good scoring chances. That is unacceptable for any goalie but especially for someone who fancies himself as the best. How many has he stolen this year? Talbot has stolen more games than he has.

Unlike previous games when I thought the shots did not really indicate any significant advantage for the Rangers, tonight I absolutely think they did.

The Rangers haven't generated that many QUALITY chances in a while, maybe all season. They got Lundqvist'd (and by that I mean Rask stood on his head to bail out his team, not that Hank sucked). This is what it is usually like to play the Rangers.

It was frustrating as hell. But they play that same game 10x they win 7+.

that screams unsustainably low shooting %

True, be we are currently sitting at 2.05G/GM, ranking us 27th in the NHL.

So, it might be more indicative of the team's lack of talent than some might think. It's been a struggle all season, outside of two weeks.

only thing that needs to be said is NO OFFENSE.

Callahan cant play with skilled guys. Great player, but nowhere near a skilled guy. Girardi is being exposed and we have no scoring, thats basically it. Not one single threat from the blueline

Girardi, Callahan, Lundqvist. If Sather signs any of those three to the big contracts they think they deserve next year, they will be anchor chains around the franchise for years to come.

I may be the minority on the board tonight, but I absolutely had no problem with our game tonight in which we basically dominated the Eastern Conference Finalists.

We had a lot of shots and chances, that frankly, just didn't go in, either bad bounces, a post, amazing saves. Yeah the counter point is that we won't win games without finishing, but don't worry, the goals will come. I'd rather 100x be in this situation than the one we were in in the beginning of the season.

Good game today.

Notice the cluster**** of terrible plays on the Thornton goal. A bad pass by Zuccarello, Falk standing up and getting burned, and John Moore backing up and giving Thornton a ton of space for no apparent reason. Zuccarello was backchecking and the other forward was covered. Terrible awareness from Moore.
