I think Lemmy has accepted he doesn't have the skill to be a long term top 6, but he could carve out a long career as a top 9 defensive specialist.

He blocks shots as good as Girardi.
Seems like every game he gives up his body. He's fearless. We need more players like him. And don't forget that gorgeous tape to tape pass that sent Kakko in on his breakaway.

Matthew Barnaby was right to gush over Adam Fox when the Rangers acquired him. I know many of us knew he was a fantastic talent but I did not expect this level of poise in his game so quickly
I did. After seeing Makar in last years playoffs, I kinds knew Fox could have the same impact. They were both close to the same kind of dominate force in their final year of college.

Man it would be nice to see this team not turn into fire wagon hockey whenever a team starts leaning on them but again, stupid young team

you can see what they’re trying to do when they play well, the ideas are there, it just isn’t second nature yet and breaks down when they’re under pressure

again that third line is brutal though and must spend like 90% of their time trying to defend. It’s not fair to expect them to be more than they are right now

Legend has it Panarin, Kreider and DeAngelo are still out there valiantly gliding on led legs to center ice, ever so close, but still not able to reach that elusive rarity, The Line Change.
I was like:

I was legit worried about the health of Panarin/Kreider during that two minute plus overtime shift. Their BPM must have been around 180

He’s seeming a lot more happy & confident, I also noticed it even with his interactions with other players throughout the game. He seemed very shy & awkward at first and seems like he’s coming out of his shell, both in terms of play & personally

WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY

Yeah I couldn't believe how quick they sent it back to the booth because we're all in a damn hurry to hear from Keith Jones.

Keith Jones' wife isn't even in a hurry to hear from Keith Jones...At least they showed Lemeiux giving Kakko the business in the after game celly.

I mean win lose or draw... what we are seeing here, with these kids taking the reigns is just fun and special and makes my heart grow 3 sizes... along w other parts lol

Earlier in the season I felt like kakko was holding his linemates back... Now I feel like his linemates are holding him back... Time to move him up.
But also I saw kakko fall over almost every time he touched the puck in the second period. Still has some kinks to work out.

Watched the game live and there was a distinct lull in play after the 10 minute mark of the first. Starting to become a trend.

Picked up in the 3rd and controlled the play.

Fox is so patient with the puck. You can sense his calm with the puck.

2nd line was good all night. Had chances and just could not hurt one.

Kakko is figuring things out. Slowly he's becoming more of a viable top 6 option.

One thing I noticed in person: Kreider takes a ton of faceoffs for Chytil. If moved, Chytil cannot rely on that. He needs to improve in the circle to be at least respectable.
