Focusing on the wrong things man. If the team doesn't IMPROVE and when this year progresses and things start to average out, it won't be because of Geo either way. The entire team doesn't feel good about themselves in the room right now.

The team would have looked a lot better if Georgiev wasn't giving away freebies. The Oilers kept getting momentum from the worst goaltending I've ever seen. This was actually one of their better games all year.

trouba and miller has that shit your pants thing in their game. So much chaos happens when they're on the ice. 27-12 might not be strong and can get hemmed but they at least keep their shit together and don't turn the momentum completely ass inside out.

The bigger story than the nitwit backup goalie is that it doesn't take that much to throw this team off mentally. You watch them, you know when the big stink is coming. And it's not really that much of a "young team" issue since Laf and Kakko are just taking up roster spaces for now
Why not send them down to Hartford and build confidence.

Who would have thought replacing Fast with Kakko two years plus later would make our offense weaker?!

The front office has gotten complacent in terms of the backup goaltending situation due to the aura Benoit Allaire has around this organization. It really shouldn't be that difficult to upgrade your backup goalie in the offseason but they believed that after Lundqvist, Talbot and Raanta, Allaira can turn anyone into gold.

Better games for who? The Rangers as a team?
Chytil had a good shot, Kreider had a good shot....I want that Gallant "man game" to start

Because he does a lot of shit no one on this team does like kill penalties effectively, win important faceoffs once in a while and he is actually on pace for over 40 points while having zero pp time. He is definitely not the problem on this team.
I just don't think any of those attributes of his work in overtime 3 on 3.
Goodrow was terrific today. Goodrow, Chytil, Hunt, Rooney, Mika, Kreider, Panarin, even. All were good.

Panarin first 2 years...bonafide MVP.

Panarin this year? Trade bait.

Want to build a "hardest working team in the league" culture? You can't have 2 of your assistant captains be the laziest efforts on the ice every night.

I think the team would probably perform worse if we demote the forwards who are 1st and 2nd on the team in points (among forwards).
Are they even a factor at even strength? I see your point but it's a lazy one. Most of their points have come off the power play.

Waive Georgiev to send a strong message to the team. We're out here talking about team chemistry and f***ing locker room cancers and we got this bitch everyone wants gone for a year now and Drury is sitting on his ass. He was worth a 2nd round pick 2 years ago, a 3rd last year, and now maybe you get a 4th round pick. Get rid of this moron and the team chemistry will bump with the emoji king.

Regardless of where they’re playing or who they’re playing with they should be expected to at the very least be noticeable. Lafreniere and Kakko respectively have been among the worst players of all time at their draft positions of 1st overall and 2nd overall. Just absolute jokes
Kakko was noticeable. He made a key defensive play that broke up a scoring chance with Puljujarvi in the 1st.

He also had a couple nice rushes through the neutral zone. He handled the puck well and dished it off as expected. But what else do you want him to do? Everything runs through Panarin. He barely has the puck to even take a shot on his own without utilizing his linemates. There was one play in the 2nd in the neutral zone…Kakko was open on the far side, but Panarin chose to make the short pass to Strome who had a defender right on him for an immediate turnover. Its shit like this that Kakko cant overcome.

Lafreniere almost scored in the 3rd after battling his way on the boards taking some tough contact. He again barely played. He is playing with stone hands McKegg and Hunt.

Zibanejad and Kreider are tied for the team lead in 5v5 points with 5. The same amount as Marchand, Giroux, Kane, Trocheck, Hertl, and Marner.
