Vanek with 0 goals tonight. You guys are defeated before it even begins and complain about a lack of passion from the players... They're currently a reflection of their fan base.

So all the fans suck therefore the rangers do? Brilliant!

BTW, I have this water pipe for tobacco and such, what brand have you been smoking?

Boyle is a useful player, Pyatt is not. The ability to distinguish between the two is important.

On the other hand, Bole is in the last year of his contract and could probably fetch a decent pick at the deadline, if NYR are out of it.

I don't know why there is such a strong sentiment against Boyle here, though.

Presumably because he's physically very large and does not demolish opposition players on a regular basis.

How bout last night when he roughed up 5'9" gallagher in front of the ranger net. Generally, Id be pleased with someone defending hank but Boyle targeting guys like karlson and gallagher says a lot about him. When does he ever show that edge with other guys running our stars or legit power fwds crossing the line?

Gallagher poked at Hank. Should he not touch him because he is small? He then went over to Zuccarello's defense who was battling with Eller who is 6'3. He fought Shelley a couple of years back against the Flyers.

He may not fight all the time, and he may not win very often, but the guy is a gamer.

Omg, just get over it already. He can't fight, what's the big deal? He is great on the PK, best FO% by far, good forechecker. No he doesn't fight well, but no one on this team does and who cares; those staged fights are so lame that it's embarrassing.

The game: since everything is against us, we will win 5-2. Hagelin, Kreider, Staal, Pouliat and Moore. LGR!!!

It's psychotic at this point.

Pyatt and Boyle need to be off the mother****ing team.

Two biggest players on the team, and you want them gone? We need some size, who will replace them?

But they're not the toughest guys around, that's for sure. Big bodies but soft as a baby's bottom.

Agree. It was worse in 11-12 though.

After Boyle's interview where he said something along the lines of, "I have to play physical...it's all i can do." It made me sad for him so I won't pick on him.

Get over what and who said anything about fighting? What the hell does staged fighting have to do with anything?

Boyle needs to be harder to play against but is a good defensive fourth line center.
Over exposed and offensive liability in third line roll.

Hows the weather up on your soap box?

I'm not his biggest fan, but that's because I believe him to be overpaid by a million.

Boyle is not even to blame for the hate.

He's a guy that plays a responsible game and coaches fall in love with guys that are responsible. Sometimes to the point of OVER PLAYING them like giving them any significant PP time.

the problem extends itself when that responsible player has a career year where EVERYTHING goes in thus cementing the coach's trust in that player however misguided it may be.

I don't like guys that are as big as he is and have as much trouble playing and staying on his feet against smaller guys as he does. He's a big strong man that should be knocking guys over.

He's a dime a dozen player that is solid on FO's and a good PK'er.

However, he's slow as drying paint and provides no ability to generate offence, therefore he cannot incorporate his wingers into the offence.

He's got a place on the team, however, he's best suited as a 4th line winger as the center position calls for SOME offensive capabilities. Let Boyle take the draws.

Mashinter should play tonight, if he knows how to fight. Isnt that why they brought him up? Can get ugly against our arc rivals.

And Zucc should play top 6, he and Kreider were the only ones creating chances last night. Guess we dont know the exact lineup yet.

Give me two players the size of Sean Avery or Mats Zuccarello who aren't afraid to stand up to other players ANY DAY over two LARGE players who are the NHL's biggest *******. (Boyle/Pyatt)

how about vanek doesn't get any goals and dominick moore scores 4 goals?

Not what I said exactly, it was meant more along the lines of the team sucks as do the attitudes of a lot of fans yet the fans feel it's their duty to ***** about a passionless team with no heart all the while acting in the same manner.

More or less a joke, but congrats.

I'm betting the wheels come off Talbot tonight as the Rangers get lit up 6-1. Hank watches and decides that if he wants to win a Stanley Cup in NYC, he'd better sign in Brooklyn.

What else are fans going to do, talk about how much they've been winning and how well they play every game? I think when that starts HAPPENING and happening consistently (either the strong, 60-minute efforts or winning), the fans will have that to talk about. And effort can only get you so far, we need to see actual production. This year, this team has given the fans nothing to be optimistic about other than the fact that it almost can't get any worse, which is why stringing together 2-3 passes is looked at as a massive step forward. And I think that's pretty sad for a team of this supposed caliber. Not everyone (being the fans) is always going to have a chipper, cheery demeanor in the face of the start of such an awful season when everything else (severe lack of visible effort, lack of emotion, clear lack of understanding of this new system so far, lack of production outside of Richards) shown has pointed to "Don't get your hopes up."

People can blame the refs all they want for the loss to Montreal. When you don't score a single goal in 60 minutes, you can't win. Sure it could have stayed 0-0, but then what? We're going to rely on overtimes and shootouts to win? Why not rely on the 60 minutes before overtime/shootouts to win?

Re: tonight's game, hoping for the best, prepared for the worst. Have a feeling Talbot lets in 2 stinkers, the Rangers come back in the 2nd, then fall apart in the 3rd. Pyatt with 3 penalties tonight, Girardi and Stepan with goals.
