We are going to get our ass kicked. 6-2 loss. Vanek with the trick, JT (the good one) with 4 points.
 
Gaborik. The Rangers couldn't afford to keep Gaborik and Richards. Besides Gaborik and Tortorella weren't getting along. They had a discussion on the ice in MTL one morning and Gaborik played on the 4th line. People look at these things in a simplistic way. Nash is hurt and where is Gaborik. They could trade Gaborik for 3 pieces to fill out the roster. They could buy out Richards and get nothing. Brassard played great in the Caps series. Buying out Richards and allowing Gaborik to leave as a free agent gives them a zero return. Gaborik will be 32. How many years would you give him at what price? Richards has slowed down after his hot start. He needs to go in June.
 
A ranger win would be nice, but another loss would be very bad for the team.

Having said that, Im predicting a convincing loss.

I just ran my own advanced statistics, we're gonna need to get at least 6 goals to win this one. JT will get his obligatory at least a couple goals against us then add Vanek who usually scores on us plus he gets the first game with a new team bonus so that's a for sure hat trick or more. I'm also going to allow a goal for Radek Martinek because the numbers say it's gonna be one of those nights.

If this is the case and MAshinter is not playing tonight and Pyatt is if we get pushed around I want AV fired. I know the lines are just from the guy who makes the game day thread but with Carkner and who ever else they dress we need someone to respond and the kid did his job in Phillie. hate how much a lame ass team we are
