It wasn't nothing but I don't agree that it was all that terrible. With concussions you never know, and hopefully they are being careful given his history. But compared to the impact of the Sauer hit, or The Scott on Eriksson it was not the most devastating impact

On to the game I hope they come out with intensity again and hold it together defensively. If they do that there is always a shot.

Kronwall was knocked out cold and he was back playing a week later....Nash must have reoccurring symptoms.

Wait, who is starting for the Rangers? I'm reading Talbot, I'm reading Lundqvist.

Is Lundqvist really going to have a tough time earning his starting job over a 26 year old AHL starter?

He's just had 2 weeks off, he can handle a back to back night.

Than again, who ever is in net, this has the potential to be a brutal game with Vanek, Tavares, Grabner and company all playing tonight.

Waiting for an announcement that Nash is going on LTIR....
I don't think he's been quite right since last year.

Hank had two weeks off for an injury. He just played his first game back last night. There is really no reason to try and push him to start a back to back. Talbot, through two games, showed he is a capable backup.

Believe it's been confirmed that Talbot is starting. Right call IMHO, Hank's just getting back from an injury and Talbot has proven to be more than capable.

Going to say Rangers win this one pretty easily and bring some positive vibes back to this forum.

Then Hank gets bombed vs the Sabres, Moulson with a hat trick and chicken little rears his head again.

For the love of God, no Pyatt on the PP or PK please. No Pyatt on the team would be better but thats not happening.
I`d like to see Boyle start every PP for the faceoff, our Centres were struggling to gain possession on the PP last night, after that he can go to the front of the net or if we have time and possession he can go for a quick change.

Just stay afloat until Callahan comes back and hope Nash comes back soon too

Talbot has proven to be more than capable in two games.

IMO you ride your star players, and after a solid game, it makes sense to give him another go and build up his confidence. If he felt sore after the game, give him a day off.

For the Rangers to make the playoffs, Henrik will need to find his elite game to carry the team there.

If Lundqvist felt like he was good to go today, he should start. IMO, the more starts you give him, the quicker he will find his game. And last night, he looked on point. Both goals that beat him (one of which shouldn't have even counted) he didn't have much of a chance on.

Vanek with 0 goals tonight. You guys are defeated before it even begins and complain about a lack of passion from the players... They're currently a reflection of their fan base.

The players do not give two craps about the fans. They just want their outrageous (compared to that of the fans) paychecks.

Pyatt and Boyle need to be off the mother****ing team.

I disagree on Boyle. Boyle is a great 4th line NHL center. He is good defensively and on the PK and is excellent on faceoffs. The problem lies when he is thrust into a top 9 role and counted on to provide offense.

Agreed on Pyatt. The guy provides nothing beyond being a semi-decent forechecker.

Boyle is a useful player, Pyatt is not. The ability to distinguish between the two is important.

On the other hand, Bole is in the last year of his contract and could probably fetch a decent pick at the deadline, if NYR are out of it.

I don't know why there is such a strong sentiment against Boyle here, though.

Not that the Islanders are world beaters or anything. But this has bad news written all over it.

Fast forwards that like to go to the net. Never say die attitude and a brand new shiny toy that wants to do for the Islanders what his counter part did for the Sabres and score at least twice to help justify the move.

In order for the Rangers to give themselves a shot here, they have to score early and at least 2 goals up so that they force the Islanders to open things up enhancing the odds of mistakes on their part.

This could get late early.
