Quinn is not a good coach

Has no idea what he’s doing on offense. The too many men penalties?? Every night? Yeah that’s on the coach no on professional nhlers that haven’t had issues in the past with it. It’s on the rookie coach who I’m still not sure what he’s done to have this prestigious a job.

Shattenkirk not playing on the pp or with an extra skater is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen. Almost as ridiculous as Tony DeAngelo sitting in the press box for 8 of 10 games on a rebuilding team.

Chytil is a center but Chytil with mcleod? Why bother. Please send this kid to Hartford before we ruin him.

Vesey is a 4th line winger. At best. That is who he is. Leave him there.

I had major concerns about Quinn and there are a lot of things I’m seeing that concern me. And losses aren’t one of them. It’s the way we’re playing and the personnel decisions. Pure chaos. No continuity.
Some of these are fair. Others are overreacting to small sample sizes

Normally the assistants control the line changes not Quinn but it’s still on the players to pay attention to when the guy they are replacing comes off

Coach Quinn post game

“ it ain’t about the games boys.... it’s about the practices “.

practice hard
Play soft
Tank on

ADA give your jersey to Mcilrath .... and go sit in the corner

Ultimately, Quinn may be judged on what he does with ADA.

It's up to Quinn whether or not that turns into a burnt asset.

He's going to break out somewhere. I hope it's here.
He wont be judged on 1 player. He will be judged on how these young players respond and develop under him over the next few years.

I`m glad that ADA had a great game, but equally frustrated how inconsistent both Zib & Zucc is after that MSG game. And why I sometimes consider to do something else in my freetime since most here have follow this old core since early 2012. And it`s no fun see the team lose games or struggle based on the new direction of the Franchise, but hopefully they get rewarded in the draft 2019 so yes it will be a long season.

I said it somewhere, I think, but there's only 13 forwards on the roster. Only a finite amount of combinations he can try and throw out there. Eventually, he will figure it out.

Only part of his coaching I haven't liked is is lineup decisions, but the rest is fine. Once he settles on how to do his lineups, the rest will follow and his systems will be bloom, so to speak.

Maybe. He's gone to the Staal-Shattenkirk pairing more than a few times already and that's definitely the worst pairing possible out of all the finite combinations on D. I'm paranoid about Quinn hanging onto whatever "balance" he thinks is needed to play ideal hockey and will continue to make bad personnel decisions.

If you look at the underlying numbers, Howden has been the worst of he, ADA, and Chytil by far, and yet he's been given the most chances to succeed.

That's because Howden fits into the "he looks like he's working hard" paradigm. Not that I don't like Howden as a prospect, but I just hate the way this league is coached.

Yeah Chytil has had a hard time producing, but he's also spent the majority of the year with 3rd and 4th liners. We're trying to build his confidence. He should be getting pumped favorable ice time.

Ada hasn't played much, when he does...I haven't really been motivated to watch. Today I was...but I f***ed up and didn't hit record b4 going out.

I'm so interested to see if this board has a bias that is causing it to ignore glaring issues with ada or if it's truly as bafflingly stupid on the coaches part as everyone says

Quinn just now on post game "Right now in the neutral zone people just walk right by us..."

And it all starts with the forwards.
I agree with that. The D is playing much better than I thought they would be at this point. We knew the forward lines would be questionable. The bottom 6 is horrible. The top 6 isn't much better. But, it's easier to replace a player or two, three on the bottom 6 and play a tighter defensive game than it is to find top 6 two way scoring forwards.
