Yeh... a good "show" but not that funny really. Part soap-opera part comedy.

Probably 50+ funnier sitcoms.

Father Ted (arguably not British aha), Peep Show, The League of Gentlemen, Black Books, The IT Crowd, I'm Alan Partridge, Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, The Office, Phoenix Nights, Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere, Dad's Army, Bottom, Red Dwarf, Porridge, The Young Ones, The Royle Family, The Thick of It, Toast of London, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, The Inbetweeners, Brass Eye, Open All Hours, Rab C. Nesbitt, Spaced, Green Wing...

are 25+ off the top of my head that are clearly funnier.
good list..of those i know..so many of them i might have to go a pirating for lol

Have the complete series of the bolded above and have seen episodes of half those not in bold. I'll also throw in The Mighty Boosh.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. That's a lot to get through, I'm going to have to find a way to prioritize which ones I want to see first.

How do you like Brit drama shows? For instance, I found C.B. Strike's first 4 seasons to be exceptional (written by JK Rowlings under a pseudonym, before she became a celeb). I haven't watched the 5th season, released last December. Any ones that you recommend? Thanks in advance.

What I told trostol:

"Get your hands on anything Partridge, Toast of London, the In-Betweeners, Peep Show, and The Thick of It first."

Dad's Army- love it..but got a lil poorer when Joe passed on
Allo Allo- another good WW2 britcom that may have drug on a year or two too long
Last of the Summer Wine- i enjoy it and put it on when i wanna do something else as background noise
Are You Being Served- Good but overstayed its welcome when most of the regulars left
IT Crowd-great..ended in time..i think any longer would have been a mistake
Might Boosh- Didn't like at first but a couple of tries later loved it..
Red Dwarf- great save season...8 i think and 9
Black books- could have used a season or two more
Father Ted-Amazing..shame it couldn't continue
Porridge- Good, the sequel not so much
Open All Hours and its sequel- both enjoyable..but Ronnie was a comedy beast
One Foot in the Grave- Totally identify with Victor
Yes Minister and Good Neighbors- both enjoyable if unremarkable
Blackadder- Fantastic
Mr Bean- pretty solid
Toast of London- Yes i can hear you Clem Fandango
Year of the Rabbit- Loved it..want more

never understood the love for Vicar of Dibley

"Spaced" is one of my favorites from either side of the Atlantic. Pre-Shaun of the Dead Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright, and Nick Frost. The guest characters were always solid. Loved Tyres ("Ello, 'ello, you sexy people..."), Marsha (Hello, Bryan..."), and Damian Knox ("Mistah...BISley...")

And, of course, this guy:

"This is DUANE Benzie..."

They had Jalen Rose on like 3 months ago. He was like -$3000, they let him play Final Jeopardy anyway, and he answered “Hurricane Katrina” instead of the obvious answer of “Titanic.” Even by Celebrity Jeopardy standards, he wasn’t cutting it.

Yes Jalen. This New England state. "What is New England"
I'm shocked it wasn't the state of New England.
