Laf needs to get it together.

It's still early in the season but we may have to start grappling on here with the question of what strings this team needs to pull if Lafreniere busts and Kakko tops out as a middle-six two way winger.

I'm not saying that's the most likely outcome, but it's a contingency that there should be a war plan for in the front office.

He’s been significantly worse than Mika although Mika has been shit as well. From an offensive standpoint no one on this team is playing well aside from Fox

It’s disappointing for the #1OA, but he’s unproven so there’s no proof of what he could do if he played better. And he at least *looks* like he’s trying hard. We’ve seen what Mika can do. Watching him literally doing less than 50% of what he’s capable of, after taking that extension, just fills you with anger as a fan.

I mean, Bread’s been rough (better than Mika) and he got his pay day. Kreider is inconsistent, but he got his pay day. Fox looks like he’s playing just as hard tonight and he got his pay day. Trouba may be disappointing for his cap hit, he got his pay day. They all still manage to at least show up. Right now it feels like Mika is simply not showing up and it’s disgusting.

I was just about to write that they need to get Kakko off that line because Strome is refusing to give Kakko the puck. He keeps getting himself open into soft areas of ice, and neither of them are getting him the puck

It's maddening to watch and despite it sounding stupid, Strome and Panarin are holding Kakko back.

Strome just have total tunnel vision with Panarin. He wants to play catch all shift and create a globetrotters play while Kakko is out there getting into good areas and nobody is getting him the puck.
