That play right there is what is wrong with Strome and Panarin as a duo. It’s a 3 on 3 and the seam opens up to make a cross ice pass to Kakko in the slot but instead Strome holds it and the lane closes and he forces a pass to Panarin in a low percentage area and he loses the puck and they don’t even get a shot. That’s a problem.

This is extremely accurate and needs to be identified by the coaching staff. If they’re not seeing it when they look at tape and addressing it, they’re pandering to our “core vets” and doing no one any favors.
