I have repeatedly found that some people mistake fandom for identity. You often ended up finding they’re not even particularly knowledgeable about the subject and just have developed an entire identity around being a fan (for example, don’t know much about hockey but cultishly obsessed with NYR, don’t know anything about music but cultishly obsessed with Metallica).

That play right there is what is wrong with Strome and Panarin as a duo. It’s a 3 on 3 and the seam opens up to make a cross ice pass to Kakko in the slot but instead Strome holds it and the lane closes and he forces a pass to Panarin in a low percentage area and he loses the puck and they don’t even get a shot. That’s a problem.

Strome f***ing sucks. How anyone defends that bum is mind blowing. Two miserable pass attempts on the PP. One entering the zone and one in the neutral zone.

And make no mistake the pass to Panarin that led to the penalty was a mistake too.

I was just about to write that they need to get Kakko off that line because Strome is refusing to give Kakko the puck. He keeps getting himself open into soft areas of ice, and neither of them are getting him the puck
