I was watching this game.

And since I make it very clear that my take on a game is in no way swayed by giving a **** what random people on the internet think or scoring brownie points with the same people for piling on the whipping boy of the year,

no I don’t think the way to summarize the change in this game was just “Staal being out.”

There are people here that been waiting a long time for Staal to finally sit a game. Even though it is most likely due to him being banged up.

Really enjoying watching Hajek's boost in confidence. You could tell tonight at both ends. Even if he was a bit ambitious on a few rushes that got him trapped. I just wonder if Lindgren is the real deal (I think he is at least a bottom pairing guy) what that leaves for Hajek down the line with guys like Rykov, Robertson, Miller and even Reunanen in the mix? I guess a good problem to have.

I don't see anyone arguing that Staal is good, but you laid the win at the alter of Quinn benching Staal. While I have zero issue with it, its a pretty good stretch to equate the win with that move.
