So was it grit, systems or simply the lack of Marc Staal? It's the correct take.

As opposed to last year where the two of them together was absolute trash.
I think it's okay to hold back credit for it if only to see what he does for Saturday. If he goes right back to Staal after a dominating win like this without him in the lineup, then there's not point in giving Quinn credit because it's just negated by putting him back in.
If he scratches Staal for even just one more game, then yeah it's good. Ideally, Staal gets scratched a lot more, but I'll take two consecutive games at a time. Baby steps.
Because we still had Staal and terrible coaching?
Not really.
The lack of Marc Staal was probably the biggest factor tonight, but we'll have to see how it goes.So was it grit, systems or simply the lack of Marc Staal?
Fully expecting itSo safe to say next game Lindgren out and Staal back in? lol
Chytil looked dynamic out there. Kreider still snakebitten at times but was the best player on the ice tonight.
I literally just said this team still sucks. Do you read the thread you're posting in or are you too busy laughing at your own jokes that nobody else laughs at?I mean this is just the new fix all.
Sure but not anywhere near most of the games this season. The team was much more in control in their own zone and did a good job of limiting chances and being in the right spots to be taking things away and clear rebounds and everything. Georgiev was excellent tonight but it’s not like we got shit pumped and won all on his back. This was a full team effort from him on out.Tampa still had a ton of chances.
I'm not sure what game you were watching but it indeed was much better tonight. Tampa is going to get their chances because of the offensive talent they have but the rangers played much better in their own end.
That is just a silly take. The lack of Marc Staal was probably the biggest factor tonight, but we'll have to see how it goes.
This is still a bad team over any significant sample.

Today I learned that "your hockey team is better when really bad players don't play" is a silly and weak take. That is just a silly take.
I do agree with the second part though.
We might not be as consistent as a professional team should be, but at least we know what it takes to win in this league. And when we do as coached, we look awfully good at it.Amazing how good a coaches system looks when players do their jobs.
Why would I be nice when you're purposely coming on here after a win to be insufferable?Aww you were fake nice for a few games at least.
No Staaling tonight. Rangers kept the pedal to the metal.

Meh, I do think this win was on Georgie's back. If it were Hank, we would have guys stroking him off like he invented electricity.Sure but not anywhere near most of the games this season.
